Yea, this thread makes me sort of feel a lot of this was futile, and that's not really fair to busmaster11. Some people just suck I guess. Seems a little childish to not want to go to the city b/c the burbs didn't win.
7 or 8 is good for me for dinner. I'll go anywhere pretty much (prefer not sushi though).
For the record, it's not just because it's in the city that I'm unable to go. That's a big issue though. I had to drive downtown just this Tuesday to go see a concert and it was an hour and 45 minute drive at the same time, just one way. This isn't going to help matters if we intend on going to see a movie or anything like that. Secondly, I'm also poor and payday isn't until next week. Dave & Buster's is great fun, but definitely not cheap. I'm not protesting this though because I really don't have any better ideas. If it was @ the D&B in the burbs, I could justify driving 5 minutes to not spend any money. However, I don't feel like wasting at least 3 hours driving to not spend money, especially when I don't have a car so I have to drag somebody else along. You might call me an asshole for thinking this, then so be it.
Also, no offense to anybody that is going, but I'm not too comfortable around strangers. Granted, we're not entirely strangers since we've 'talked', but it's akward nonetheless. If the people I know aren't going (i.e. CorporateRecreation, Citation, minendo), I would be hard-pressed to spend time with strangers who have at least 5 years on me. Like I said, I don't intend this as an insult. I just need to work on my people skills I guess.
If you guys are bent-set on meeting and I can get a ride downtown, I can manage it. The only drawback is I have work until 5 o'clock. I'm not 'counting myself out' just yet, but it's not looking too good when both of my rides are uninterested.
I'll be watching this thread to see who is still going, meeting time, etc....
