So you brought up a point that Obama wasn't making?

Are you trying to not understand this? It's really a small point for you to defend against logic.
Romney: the Navy needs to be better (according to the Navy in this instance better equals bigger in the form of roughly 26 more ships)
Obama's POINT: Navy not having enough ships equals navy not having enough horses and bayonets.
Now I know he doesn't really believe this (hopefully you don't either), that's why I called it a 'deflection', not his 'ignorant belief'.
Blindly attacking and defending these jackasses is bad policy, not everyone in here is in bed with one or the other.

From your own link:

A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs. The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.

Can you admit Obama was wrong now that you read it in bold letters?

Also think it was smart not going to hard after Obama about Libya. Jumping the shark if Romney did.

The point, which you missed, was that we need a military that is strategically competent not bigger. We aren't fighting nations we are fighting small groups of people, a battleship won't help you with that.

Do you get it now?

What people dont understand either is that the branches of the military themselves are in a political battle to get more funding to make themselves bigger. The branches are never going to just say "yeah we're good, throw the money to the army/navy/AF/marines instead"

Goes both ways there buddy, the left and their reckless spending on idealist social programs and mis managed healthcare subsides will bankrupt the country....the housing crash was as much if not more a factor of the lefts involvement in manipulating mortgage terms for unqualified buyers crippling the buying power of the nation, and for that I give many of those on the left an extra special fist up the ass :)

Oh I hold the left very accountable for the mess were in, noone held a gun to Clinton's head, in fucking our country.

But flat out obstructionism and whining about the economy is a special kind of disgusting.

Good lord you are an idiot. You obviously don't understand the differences between what Romney called for and what Obama did.

Obama said Romney did not want the government involved, to let the companies fail. Romney said that Obama is a liar. Obama, obviously, did not tell us the truth:

A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs. The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.

you make it seem like the right is alone in this? are you somehow suggesting that if roles were reversed the Left wouldn't be as bad or worse??

How many times can they go back and blame the prior administration for the dire straits we are in without taking any responsibility of their own...

Both sides are at fault, and depending on which side of the aisle you're on is where you will level the criticism/blame harder...

Just sayin.

Article Name: Let Detroit Go Bankrupt
Author: Mitt Romney, 2008

...

Yep, and here is a quote from it:

A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs. The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.

Um.... Do you not recall the Newt Gingrich government shutdown event? All the partisan BS during Clinton's presidency?

all of the raw raw almost religious following the majority in this thread have for their party is disgusting.

on to the debate. No one hurt themselves. Romney didn't sound or look like bush, and did what he could to disprove how he has been framed. Obama came out aggressive again to further eliminate his mistake of the first debate. Not sure either won. But neither lost, and that is what matters. Romney maybe helped himself more just because he was unknown by many on foreign policy and did nothing to hurt himself.

overall i see obama winning the election regardless of these debates.

The roles have been reversed and the left never obstructed and flat out refused to legislate like the right has the past few years.

You must have missed me blaming Clinton directly for contributing to the mess were in. Mostly I blame the corporatocracy who owns both parties and the ignorant public that allows them to do it.
