I thought it was excellent ! I rarely see movies more than once, but today coming home from work I had an urge to stop off at the movie theater and see it again !

BTW: I saw it last night@10.40 !

A++++ 10/10 definately !

I liked it. It was better than I expected. But I still liked T2 better. T3 still seems a tad.... superfluous I guess. Like... after watching T2 again... it's weird... wondering "Is Arnold knowingly lying saying Dyson is so important?" "Does he already know about the general guy in T3?" "Boy it sure sucks knowing that Sarah's thinking is just bs."

Another (personal) thing I don't like is... the ending is very deterministic. I like T2's ending... with the feeling that "we have no fate but what we make." T3 is just like "It is your destiny" and I like believing in free will.

I loved T3. I've had doubts ever since it was announced, but it definitely earned its place in the franchise. I liked it tons more than any other movie I've seen this summer (hulk, matrix, x-men). And I am currently dying in anticiption of the sequel. I thought the future moments were awesome in the first 2, and now theres going to be a whole movie of it! I can't wait.

T2 was more "filling" and solid feeling under the helm of James Cameron.

However, T3 was far from a poor sequel. It kept continuity, answered a lot of questions, and gave us a hot robo-babe and a lot of explosions.
I'll see a T4 if they make one.

am i the only one that did not like it?

mind you, i had really high expectations going into it, but i felt it did not have the same spark the 2nd one did.
The 2nd one was so good becasue of the connection between arnold and edward furlong, sure arnold had some good one liners but still didnt have the connection with the charectors.
Also, the T-X charector i felt was way to powerful and a very boring charector, she was TOO powerful for it to seem comprehensible, fighting Arnold.

Claire Danes, and Nick Stahl, both were pretty boring during the movie also...

5/10

a shame cuz the 2nd one was a 10

just saw it today...

but doesn't anyone else think its exactly like T2?

look at the comparisons
1. female instead of male terminator
2. go to rescue Kate instead of Sarah Conner
3. drive around Mexico
4. goto destroy Skynet instead of Cyberdine systems

i'm sure theres more similarities...

but other than that, it was a pretty good movie, i wasn't really disappointed knowing beforehand that James Cameron was not at the helm. You could definetely tell that he wasn't directing.

Definitely not as good as T2. T3 has the action and CG, but it simply doesn't develop the story as well as I think it could have (i.e. they don't talk about past events and use flash scenes to recall them, or some other such technique). Arnold Schwarzenegger looks great for a 55 year old guy, but this director could have done a lot more with Arnold, I'm disappointed Arnold's skill and power as a movie star wasn't leveraged as well as it could have been.

Having a female terminator was a good idea though. I wish the John Connor from T2 was in this movie, the guy who played him in T3 simply didn't have anything to offer IMO, especially chemistry-wise with Claire Danes. Claire Danes and this dude should have been replaced with someone else.

Overall it was a good movie, barely an 8 out of 10. T2 was a 9.5 IMO, with T1 being an 8.5.

*ULTRA MEGA SPOILERS* DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE

Exactly how I feel. Actually, I left the theater kinda depressed simply due to the fact that they lead you to believe that they're going to stop Skynet, but they simply get shoved in a bunker to protect them. The entire "fate" thing really sucked IMO. I mean, comon, the Terminator that they send back to protect Connor is actually one that killed him in 2032? ARgg... I also felt that they didn't spend nearly enough time rounding out the story, explaining past events and changes in the timeline (IE Skynet being software, not hardware built by Cyberdyne). They also didn't do nearly enough character development with the older John Connor or even Kate Brewster. All we know is that they knew eachother from back in 8th grade.

Overall, it was a good movie, definately worth watching again. Special effects were great as they usually are, I just wish they had more story!

I just had one question though. Did Kate's father lie about the location of Crystal Peak, knowing that trying to shut down SkyNet was a lost cause and just wanted to get them to safety? Or did Arnold lie about its location, deliberately sending them to a fallout shelter for basically the same reason. Because as soon as Kate's father mentioned Crystal Peak, Arnold chimed in about its location and then Kate's father died a few seconds later. Ah well, bring on T4!!!!!

I thought It was an okay movie, I went in with low expectations and came out plesently surprised.

Kinda surprised that Sarah Conner died from leukemia and not some other way. What was that thing the Terminator put into the TX's mouth at the end to destroy her? Since she's liquid metal can't she just reform and continue killing or did that explosion melt her to oblivion?

I do hope they do make another one because this one totally leaves you hanging at the end for more. If they are planning on another addition they need to hurry cuz Arnolds getting old :p

Anyone who expected T3 to be better than T2 had their hopes set too high.

I should also point out that many people who watched T2 in 1991 expressed their concern that it wasn't as good as T1. Funny how 12 years of exposure changes a person's opinion of a movie. I'm sure in 20** when T4 arrives people will be saying that it isn't as good as T3, which was supposedly the best in the series. Funny how things work out...

My review:

Terminator 3 was great movie, awesome special effects, great story, and not bad acting.

Downside:
Jokes: too many of them -
Too much action
Very short movie compared to T2 2:20min.
Story line not developed as it should.

The main problem with this movie was Director Cameron - Terminator feel.
I love this movie, but the thing with terminator is that its not all about action or good vs evil.
Every movie they show future, and explanation, and action, and history, and then...

This movie was rushed. It was like terminator arrives - 1 hour of action - battle of the sexies(terminator) - and the end.

On the T2 the t101 was so much terminator feel - this one was like HULK, its like it is the same terminator that keeps sending back in time and he remembers things so he knows how not to lose time.

The ending was great. I loved it.

4 thumbs up !!!!!!

Spoilers: (questions to wonder)

Why does the T101 kill John in the future? I know why, but what excatly happen!
If Johns girl fathers is important, so how does it change now that he dies?
Whose trailer is the one they took in the middle? what people don't just leave everything open.
Y WAS EVERYTHING DELL!!!!!!
So what are the new dates, and etc... for whats happens now.

T4 should be just after the machines rises, and so we see how JOhn becomes a leader. and see when the machines stat building t101 so we see when arnie is build.

Arnold took his hydrogen cell (I think it was hydrogen) and shoved it in her mouth. Remember when they get away after the first big chase scene and Arnold cuts himself open to remove the damaged cell? He throws it out the truck and its like a tatical nuke which how much the explosion covers. After an explosion like that, I would have bet that she would be pretty much... terminated :)

im curious as to how the skynet computers learned so quickly and became self-aware in such a short period of time. it only took a few seconds, is it because of the virus being so wide-spread?

heres what arnie had to say about the original judgement day in t2..
The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes on-line August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.
see? there, it took a shade under 4 weeks for the system to pick up and start attacking us. but in T3, he hit a key, and 2 seconds later, *BOOM!*, chaos! i guess im going to go with the virus was wide spread so it was easily distrubuted and computers are much quicker (dell is so fast that utter destruction is instantaneous?) theory, unless i missed something or somebody has another thought.
