Swine flue has been confirmed in 4 students at the school I work at.

I have one of the worst flue ever.

I just came back from the hospital. They took a swipe from my nose and I should have the results sometime this week.

They told me to stay away from the school until I feel better.

The swine flue is mild in the country, thank god

 
Already got the fly this year once. That helps. Right? Oh well, it's not like I have a job or class to share my germs with.

Oh well, it's still in Nova Scotia right now. My city will probably get it from New York or Ohio before Nova Scotia.

as a teacher with just a month-two left in the quarter before summer I hope it doesn't make it to phoenix : P

but probably will.
 
Well, I am not paranoid or anything but I have not been felling too great today....

Feel tired and washed out, have some sort of sinus infection going on and about half a sore throat and am sick in my stomach as I type this.....

 
not afraid, considering mad cow, bird flu, sars, terrorists, and the DC/VA sniper were all supposed to get me.

just a bunch of media hype like everything else that can serve as a potential threat.

I am, only because a) I work at a hospital and b) my wife has a compromised immune system and is still recovering from bi-lateral kidney surgery. She's pretty OCD with her hand sanitizer and all that, but hasn't quite jumped the flu-mask fence yet. I will be trying to convince her in the morning.
 
My mother-in-law works for The CDC. She got called into the "war room" as she calls it on Saturday and was their most of the day. I've never seen her have to do anything like this before.
 
Not exactly on topic, but I hadn't had the flu in YEARS, sure enough I get my first flu shot ever last fall and I subsequently got the flu this spring. 🙁
 
Clearly, this is another failure of the Bush administration. His failure to anticipate this and develop a vaccine is just criminal.

Thats great, but I had to put $5 in my gas tank on Sunday so I only have $4 in venture capital left. Hope he's interested.
