Let's get it on. I predict Russell will piss some people off this week! :p

"Loose Lips Sink Ships"

New, 5/13/2010, Reality, Adventure
One castaway makes a surprising choice that sends a ripple effect through the entire tribe; the remaining heroes make an unexpected ally while hoping for a turnaround; the final six compete fiercely for time with loved ones in a reward challenge.

Ahhh poor Rupert. Well he lasted a long time, he just didn't have a play at this tribal council. All he could do was hope someone else would flip over. All these endurance challenges are geared toward women which is kinda unfair, but whatevs.

So, Rupert played a good game, time for him to go though.

Russel is starting to get a little bit crazy.

Colby is godawful this season WTF. That challenge where he was cursing at his brother the whole time was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time on Survivor :p

Only survivors left that are worth a damn are Russel and Pavarti IMO. Would love to see them in the final two but they're going to go head to head before that.

If Rupert or Colby would win, I would be really pissed. Neither played any type of game. Sandra is playing the same game she played when she won. I think if she makes it to the finals shell win again.

I'm thinking Russel, Parv, Sandra final three and even though Russel is the only one that hasn't won a million, they will give it to Sandra because it is a popularity contest instead of actually voting for who played well.

I could see Parv or Sandra getting it. I think with Rupert going home last night, Russell could also get voted off. But he is so resourceful he could force his way onto the final 3. They'll never vote for him because he is just a ruthless player in game and pisses off too many people.

I think this as well. Russell has pissed off too many people, Parv and Sandra would most likely actually win the million.

anyone who is smart would keep russel around, because he has stabbed so many people in the back there is no way in hell he will get enough votes to win.

there is just absolutely no card that he can pull, imo, that will get him more votes than anyone else.

while i agree with others that he has "played" the game better than anyone else, as far as outwitting, outlasting, and outplaying people, his social game is the bottom of the barrel. he does not have the psych that is needed to actually win this game.

that is going to be his downfall again this season.

that said, i would LOVE to see him win.

Yeah. I think if Russell played the exact same game, stabbed the exact same people in the back in the exact same way, but didn't open his mouth, he would win the game. Walking around "Are you with me or against me", "That was a huge mistake", etc is what makes people unhappy with him. I think Russell is a hell of a player and if he wasn't such a dick he probably would have won last season and could win this season.

The challenge is biased towards the women. Its all endurance challenges. Very little to do with skill or puzzles.

Rupert has no one to blame but himself for getting voted off. He ran off to Russell like a little girl and caused problems with Sandra. Colby is horrible. I haven't watched Season 2 and probably never plan to after Colby's pitiful playing this season.

I think there is. If Russell broke down; said he was sorry hurting everyone, that it was just for the game, and that he wished he hadn't done it; basically groveled before the jury; and actually made himself believable, then I think he might have a shot at the million.

He'd need an academy-award performance to pull it off, and I don't think Russell would even consider doing that. He'd say, "I'm Russell Hantz. The jury should be groveling before me."

haha yea that is true, he just needs to be really convincing. the thing is, people don't believe that he is only playing the game, because he just ALWAYS acts like a dick. they figure that is how he is in real life.

i will say though i had a thing against Sandra, and then when you see these survivors see their loved ones and see a completely different side of them, it really makes me feel kind of like a dick for having ill feelings towards them. it was really touching to see her break down like that. all in all everyone is just playing a game.

cant believe the finale is in 2 days already :( survivor is the show i look forward to the most every week.

No doubt. Russell in the finals make it a 50/50 chance for anyone else. And iirc, Russell hasn't yet experience the finale for his first season at the time of this filming, so it's not likely his approach will be different than his first season.

Parvati and Sandra have won before, but I think Parvati is more disliked. I'd hate to see Sandra win it, she's all babble. In her favor, she did bait russell on her immunity idol (I fault russell more for this), and it may have gained her respect on the jury (albeit distrust from the other competitors.)

On the other hand, I'd love to see Jeri win it because even tho she hasn't been the best, she has been strong and respectable when needed.

There have been 'rumors' for quite a while on the net about who is in the finale after someone may have spilled the beans on probst blog. So far its still lining up as potentially true.

I'd disagree about Rupert. He's really good in most challenges (also has a broken toe all season) and he saved himself with that rock in the pocket trick. He's not good at the alliance/backstabbing part of the game though, he's too nice of a guy :p

Again I think It will be a real shame if Russel or Pavarti don't win the million. If one of them wins (deservingly so) it will put a cherry on top to one of the best Survivor seasons, maybe the best. Only downside of this season I would say is that the Challenges haven't been too exciting and haven't had as much impact on the game overall as they usually do.

It would make perfect sense that a winner of Heroes vs Villains in the game of Survivor would be a villain.

I agree completely. For one, it seems like most/all of the challenges have already been done. They seem to be low-budget challenges (not that the budget is all that counts). They also seem to be all the same flavor: puzzles or endurance. There's usually a good variety so that no one contestant is favored in all of the challenges.

In this season the villians dominated in the group challenges, and now the ladies are dominating in the individual challenges. I wouldn't be surprised if Russell pulled out a couple wins in a row if he really thinks he needs it.

As someone mentioned already, I wouldn't mind seeing Jerri win it. I think she's played a decent under the radar game without absolutely riding coattails. She's made some big decisions to get her further in the game (voting out Boston Rob, Coach, Danielle, etc.) when she could've gone with the decision that she was supposed to make. She also won individual immunity at least once. At this point she seems to be the tightest with Russell, and therefore she's playing well in the area of alliances as well. Jerri also has voted people out without making them enemies, which is key if she makes it to the end.

Jerri is pretty surprising this year. She's very fit too and doing well in most challenges, especially the last two episodes.

Jerri scrambled and made stuff up to tell russell in order to settle his anger for not being chosen. One thing she told him was that it would have been terrible to leave Sandra behind for her to connive all alone with Rupert and Colby. Russell basically ate that up (cbs 'secret scenes'.)

Nice going Jerri. That's how you play the game...stab someone in the back in a way that they say 'great move.' :D

Even though Jerri is playing a good game thus far I think she's still a pawn in the scheme of things.

Oooo, big finale tomorrow, Sunday, don't forget. I got my tivo set :D

yeah they should just keep it to Thursdays IMO, much easier to remember. But, they did promote it some.

Also probst blog up:

http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/05/14/jeff-probst-blog-ep-13/

He seems to think if Colby gets to the final two he'll win because of the animosity towards the villains. I don't think this group on the Jury is that shallow (maybe a couple of them) to vote for someone who played the game so badly just because they like him more.

Whoops...thanks for the reminder! Pvr'd, just in case.

/edit: 3 hours. Looks like two elimination episodes, and a 1 hour reunion/reading of jury votes in NY.

Here are my predictions for tomorrow:

1: Colby gets voted out. He can't win at challenges and the villains absolutely need to eliminate him to get any chance at winning.

2: Jerri needs to go. She is still on the good side of the jury and is not very good at challenges. She would be hard to beat at the final vote.

3: Sandra and Parvati will want to take Russel with them to the final 2. Let's face it: He has absolutely no chance of getting votes from the jury.

4: Russell will not want to take Parvati but she is very good at challenges and may very well save herself.

5: By by Sandra. You played a good game but you can't beat Pavarti at challenges

Grand winner: Pavarti.
She played a great game and fully deserves to win.

I can't wait to see how it turns out tomorrow night.

Disclaimer: I'm probably right out to lunch but hey, who cares.

In my opinion this was the best season ever.
