Smacks of Barakadesperation.

Proportional assignment of delegates. It doesn't matter how many people live in the state, it matters what % of how many people in the state voted for whom. Also, in some states (Nev, Cal. etc) a candidate can win a majority of the votes and get a minority of the delegates because of the bizarre methods the Dems use to assign the delegates. Nothing will be certain until all the votes are counted and all the delegates selected.

It looks like he is going to, I said he was going to have a strong showing. As to McCain getting locked in... highly doubt it. This will be a brokered convention.

Delegates are assigned by proportional vote at the Congressional district level.

Still, she may maintain a delegate lead, MI/FL will likely be seated at the convention, so who the hell knows what's going to happen.

Yes, if they don't seat MI/FL than they can kiss those states goodbye in the general election. And if Obama squeaks by in the delegate count and Hillary loses because MI/FL are deprived of their votes, it will not only kill Obama but tear apart the Democratic party.

noone is going to give a shit about that when the general election comes around. Except maybe you and a few other bitter partisans.

Depends on California. If he wins, yes. If he doesn't, depends on the polls in the next states, will probably be considered neck-and-neck.

I think no matter how well he does, though, the media still takes the angle of "Hillary losing" rather than "Obama winning."

[techs]obama can't win those states in the general election anyways because all southerners are rascists so they don't count either[/techs]

On CNN just now.

CNN has been doing a horrible job of updating those totals. I keep seeing them make projections, but those delegate totals haven't moved in awhile.

this isn't a projection, its based on the final vote onces its all counted in each state. NY, mass and NJ have had 2 hours to report their counts, and those 3 states are a majority of the states hillary has won population wise. Obama has done better in the midwest and west, haven't no lost a state there yet, but they also have had less time to count votes and make it official.
