second btw would Obama even be a candidate if he was white?

Typical desperation and race-baiting from Team Clinton.

You must be disappointed with the results.
Isn't obama losing?

it's looking like it's going to be a 50/50 split between Hillary and Obama, thanks to proportional delegates.

I love the results. Clinton has beaten Obama in the number of states and in the total population.

Best line of the night was by Paul Begala:

No ones more conservative than Huckabee. He doesn't believe in evolution....gravity.....photosynthesis....

And as far as "race baiting" I guess Obama is winning 80 percent of the black vote because he's....tall?

But the votes translate into delegates. And Hillary is winning the delegate count.
And Hillary was ahead going in. And unless she loses California huge, huge, she will still be ahead.
People are treating an Obama loss like a win.
Obama is losing. He has been is losing, and is losing tonite.
A loss is a loss is a loss.

I think it's really great to see the democratic race so close... shows that the party is pretty excited by both its candidates, and isn't necessarily voting for lesser evils.

Adding New Jersey and Alabama:

Obama 4 states totalling 27 million
Hillary 6 states totalling 46.4 million.

Oh well, McCain Vs. Clinton it will be :(

hillary isn't and won't do well in the west., she already lost/is losing 2 need to win states from her 'sure thing' states.

MSNBC just showed Obama pwning Clinton in 2 more states, so hold up there for awhile before crowning Clinton just yet.

EDIT: they also just showed a big storm with tornadoes and I looked on wether.com and its coming right for me in Nashville, oes noes!

EDIT2:

Clinton: 160
Obama: 129

Thats clearly not enough to declare victory for Clinton...

McCain racking it up though for the Republicans.

Obama-Illinois, Georgia, Delaware totals 22.5 million

Hillary-New York, Massachusettes, Tennesse, Arkansas, Oklahoma totals 37.7 million.

New Jersey - HRC
Alabama - Obama

Adding New Jersey and Alabama:

Obama 4 states totalling 27 million
Hillary 6 states totalling 46.4 million.

Adding North Dakota, which was having a caucus and not a primary and Utah:

Obama 6 states totalling 30 million
Hillary 6 states totalling 46.4 million

But it is still a sizeable lead, even if she doesn't end up winning today :(

The Democratic race is a battle! Although Hillary has more potential to piss off the current ruling elites if she's in the White House, I'll have no problems voting for Obama in the general election if he gets the nomination. The democratic primary is a win/win at this stage.

the north dakota 'causus' is a primary in all functionality.

Hickabee addressing his flock, and strangely using biblical imagery (david v goliath) to claim he's still got a chance. The South is hardly earning a progressive image voting for mr. no evolution

I was very proud of the voter turn out in my precinct. I heard mumblings of ~85-90%. I must say is was packed. From 6:30-8:30 there was a line a half mile long and its only 20 degrees out here.

Woot Minnesota!
