Picking my copy up today. From what I've heard it's amazing; best platformer in 10+ years.
Post your impressions/opinions here but try to avoid spoilers (or at least hide/warn if you have to post them).

It's my favorite game of all time. Theres something pretty cool when you get 120 stars. But youre gonna have to work for it. There is one stage in particular that is so brutal and unforgiving you'll wonder if there is any human being that can actually do what youre asked to do. Up until this stage, I had yet to see the game over screen.

But overall, the game is a masterpiece. Seriously.

I just finished it Saturday. great game, although I will say the final battle was somewhat of a letdown. I won't go into any details other than that.

I have 70 stars now and will eventually make it to 120 stars. the game is awesome and I thought I would really hate the whole gravity/little planet type deal, but man was I wrong. The camera can get a little wonky sometimes forcing you to play upside down, but other than those times, all I can say about this game is wow.

by FAR the best game on the Wii, and definitely one of the best platformers EVER. i didn't get that "wow" feeling I got when I first played Mario 64 but it is just as exciting and fun. also I was not 14 years old when I first played this one like I was when I played Mario 64 :)

Ok, I've been to Target, Walmart, and Circuit City and NONE of them have it. WHAT THE HELL, I got to Target at 9:30 and they were already out. Goddamnit, I have off work today and I wanted to play.

damn, really? I guess I'm glad I reserved it at gamestop.. as much as I hate to. But I have a GC to blow there, and the manager at this particular store rocks. Not going to get to pick it up till tomorrow though.

Woah, it comes out today? What's with Nintendo putting games out on Mondays? I always assume they come out on Tuesday. I guess I'll be going to TRU at lunch.

Was the $25 GC in yesterday's ad, or did that turn out to be a rumor?

I'm so tired of running around looking for shit when it comes to the Wii. Every store I went to was completely cleaned out of almost all Wii games. What the hell is Nintendo doing? I understand the system shortage, but they should be able to supply a virtually limitless amount of games.

Gah, I went to TRU at lunch and they said it comes in tomorrow. The little card says 11/12, but oh well. I can wait another day. I was expecting to wait another day anyway. Everyone at CAG seems to be getting the same results.

Also, I hate stay at home moms.

Hm... I heard from a couple of people that EGM gave this game an 11 out of 10. What? That must be an unfounded rumor surely.

My tru (edit: whoops) said 11/12 was a typo.

My local Target had it, although Gamestop, Bestbuy and Circuit City all said tomorrow.

So TRU has $25 GC if you purchase this title? If so, I'll make the drive. If not, I'm ordering from Amazon.

I'm sure a few dozen people have already thrown together something longer than this post will be. But! I'm taking 5 mins out (excuse the misspellings and such) to tell you guys how incredible this game is.

It's more fun that you think it is--no matter how excited you are for it. The music is better than you think it will be. It's so grand and enthusiastic, that it could make an emo kid smile and think tomorrow is going to be a better day. The graphics are better than you think. The grass actually looks like grass--not just a smoothing green color fading away--it actually has texture. The stars that you collect (I've only got a few!) are super shiny and make you happy to see them--like an old friend!

This game is, seriously, absolutely stunning. I'm sitting typing this and I CANNOT wait to get back and play it. It's definitely the first platformer to come along and blow away everything that Mario 64 did. Sunshine? Pfffffft.

Anyway....sorry to probably not make any sense--but the first 2 hours of the game are so.....euphoric.

Awesome to hear. I'm really excited for this game. Hopefully going to grab a copy from TRU at lunch time today.
