they haven't. I did see the Amazon deal, but I want to buy it for steam. The convenience of having it all in one place and being able to redownload anywhere I want is just too much of a draw for me.

now it;s on steam. $5 gets you shadow of chernobyl and pripyat

any experience on the jedi Knight series working with win7 64x, or even less recent OS? I seem to remember stumbling across complaints here and there trying to install the older Jedi Knight games on current OS.

The original Dark Forces game should run just fine under DOSBox. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 and it's expansion Mysteries of the Sith I can't get running under 64-bit Windows 7. Jedi Outcast has a buffer overflow bug that will trigger with recent drivers that support more OpenGL extensions then the buffer can hold. I suspect that Jedi Academy has the same bug, but I don't own that game.

As long as it has some similarities to SC 1, SC2 should easily be worth 3 bucks. Just don't supersize at McD's and you can afford it!

Supreme commander worth the $3?

Hard to say...

Hmm, may get the Hitman collection since I lost my Hitman 2 disc (one of my favouritest games ever) and have always wanted to play Bloodlines.

Supreme Commander 2 any good? I mean $3.74...

KT

Supreme Commander 2 sucks balls. If you have any other RTS just play that instead, even if you played it a metric shit ton of hours, it will be better then SC2 can ever hope to be.

Has anyone played any of the Theater of War games? They look interesting

I enjoyed SC2 and my son loves it. Not sure why all the hate for it. Worth it at that price for sure IMO.

Hmmm...Alright....

What about C&C? Any idea why 4 is cheaper than 3? Is 4 any better? Seems like it was very buggy at first....

4 is horrible, it isn't even C&C.

C&C3 and Red Alert 3 are both pretty good though with C&C3 being the better of the two.

For those wondering about the Command & Conquer games: If you can only choose one, buy Command & Conquer 3. Do NOT buy 4. C&C4 is shit, which is why it's so cheap. It also has draconian DRM anyway.

Also, Hitman: Blood Money is amazing.

I'm up in the air on SupCom 2. As well as already owning Shadows of Chernobyl. Red Alert 3? Then theres the Empire Bundle, both games earning very high accolades over the previous years. uhg.

Buy C&C 3 or Red Alert 3 instead of SC2 imo

I don't think you do get a giftable copy of Empire, it will tell you at checkout though for sure. I've seen Napolean Imperial Edition on sale for like $15 or cheaper at GoGamer and since it is a Steamworks game you just put the serial number in and it shows up in your Steam games list to download.

Hmm, interesting. Never played any of those.

KT

It's been a long while since I played Jedi Academy & Outcast, but both had rock'in single player and even better MP.

If you guys like tycoon games then Hospital Tycoon is worth the $3. It's not as humorous as Theme Hospital back when Bullfrog put it out, but I got my monies worth just playing the campaign. Haven't messed with sandbox mode much yet.

So if I were to buy only 1 should I get the Stalker bundle or Far Cry 2?

Stalker, hands down. Stalker has so much atmosphere and pretty good action.

Unless they fixed Far Cry 2 (which I doubt) then you'll mostly be traveling the same areas over and over and fighting the enemies that respawn immediately in the error you just cleared out and left. It got old very quickly. Graphics are nice and the idea is good, just implemented poorly.

STALKER is better than Far Cry 2 any day of the week. Stalker isn't perfect, sure, but it's a damn whole lot more interesting than Far Cry 2, which gets boring and repetitive very quick.

And yes, for those who are playing it for their first time, the "2009 Complete Mod" is a must-have.
