Low fuel level sensor failed. Possible delay of launch.

darnit.

i guess better safe then sorry.

but i was excited about this =(

hmm weird.

only one sensor is not working. it has 4 and they only need 2 to be working. wow they are really erroring on the side of caution

Bummer on the no-go, I was excited about watching the launch. Maybe they decided to cure cancer instead.

They want to lauch with 100% redundancy available. That's why the launch was cancelled.

The stream svcks now. Drops out every 2 secs.

Had that problem w/ the WMV stream, had to switch to RAM. 🙁

Why don't they break out one of those Titanium rockets they used in the movie "Armageddon". I'm sure they're ready for liftoff any minute since we seem to keep those extra shuttles around in case of emergencies.

Well, maybe if they didn't waste $330M and all that time on the deep impact project...this launch would've been on time?

it's not just the $330M, we're talking about all those man hours wasted on the deep impact project...

they could've used all the time to double, or tripple check all the sensors. Heck, they could've checked it 20 times by now, which I'm sure would've allowed them to launch on time today.

You've got to be kidding me. Please stop spreading misinformation.

Supporting one program doesn't mean that everyone has to leave the other program for the time being. The scientists were not taken away from the Shuttle just to work on Deep Impact. Besides, the people that are wrenching on the Shuttles installing sensors are not the same ones sitting in a control room analysing data from Deep Impact.

Are you stupid or something?

Why?

Do you hate freedom too?

what the hell does freedom have to do with space shuttle launches??

nevermind... lets not bother with it in this thread.

What is their mission? Its been quite a while since a shuttle launch.

I know they are bringing supplies to the International Space Station.

You both need to check your sarcasm meters....

(seriously though...TWills, how could you HATE space shuttle launches? I mean, I can see not caring, but hate :confused😉.

Man, so much money paying for rocket fuel instead of curing cancer or something. oh well.

Lord, because there are no activities justified other than curing cancer.

Hey! You just bought a new LCD/TV/CAR/HOME...that's money that COULD have gone to a better cause!

I'd say there are a lot bigger wastes of money around than a program that could lead to the exploration of the universe and perhaps saving all of humanity from things like killer asteroids.

HEEEELLP!! Pluto is on a collision course with earth. Quick man the space shuttle. We will live life anew on mars

You must be totally clueless about the many medical advances attributed to the space program.

True, I don't keep a tally of everything the space program has done for us. I swear, if I tried to learn everything, my head would explode. And so would yours. 😉

It's not like you can just throw money at problems and pay them off to go away. You sound like you have no idea what you're talking about. You're making it sound like we have a definite choice- cure cancer or have a space program.

Sheesh, maybe Bill Gates shouldn't have spent all that money on his house and instead just paid to make himself live forever.

sentence 1: did I say we could? Did I even imply it? :|
sentence 2: Thanks buddy.
sentence 3: You're way overinterpreting what I said. Take it at face value, and stop trying to read the hidden implications, cuz there ain't any.
sentence 4: ...

ok im dun. me ovibously so stoopid so me going to act like samrt person and go to bed.
