Yeah but I think it's like Minecraft in a way. There's no objective there. The people who just want to try new stuff will get into it.
I still to this day don't see the appeal of Minecraft. I tried it for about 4 minutes and uninstalled it, and yet it's one of the most popular games in the world. So guess maybe they wanted to tap into Minecraft's player base with that game?

How'd I do?

What we'll likely see:
-1TB PS4 SKU gets announced, shipping this summer if not immediately.
Surprised they didn't, given the recent XB1 announcement.
-Updates on the new Ratchet and Clank game and movie.
Saw that it was touched on briefly, expected more.
-Lots of indie titles
Yep.
-Morpheus will get pumped up, plus a new Move gets unveiled to go with it
They didn't spend as much time on it as I thought. No real hardware discussion.
-Uncharted 4 and God of War
No God of War talk but Uncharted 4 looks great.
-An update on how PlayStation Now is doing
Nothing about Now that I can remember
-Talk about Spotify partnership
Nothing really about Spotify either, instead their live TV service that will never see the light of day outside the US
-Execs droning on and on about how well the PS4 is selling
This was a given.

What we might see
-Gran Turismo 7 teaser
I wasn't holding my breath for this.
-Share will be updated to support YouTube live streaming
This was a bit surprising. No mentions.

What we won't see
-Any meaningful news about the Vita
Another JRPG for the Vita. Support for it got a passing mention. No other news.
-A new AAA IP
Actually did get a new IP with Horizon.
-New PS4 features (local music/video playback, external drive support, etc)
Nailed this one.
-Any non-gaming apps other than Spotify
Live TV app got pumped, so was wrong with this one. That app benefits few people though.

I felt it was a fairly underwhelming press conference. A lot of sequels and remakes to series I've never really got into. Nothing really fresh from the big developers other than Horizon. Seems like all the best stuff is being pushed into 2016, which will be a huge year for gaming. The drought continues for 2015.

Huh? E3 has always been mostly about future releases (ie what's coming in the next year between now and next E3). But you still got a handful of games set for 2015, unless you like a specific kind of game.

I got a nice list of games to keep me occupied well into 2016.

Right, no e3 has been about games coming out in the next couple months. They are showing you stuff they are working on for future release. The stuff coming this year we already knew about from last e3 and the other shows.

Doom 3, Star Wars Battlefront, FF7 remake, Uncharted 4 - really looking forward to PC and PS4 games.

XBox One and Wii U... meh.

PS Vita - dead as a door nail. 3DS - meh.

Yeah and Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain on PC as well for me. Oh and you mean Doom 4 or I think it's just called Doom now?

Why do you say this? If one hasn't bought a PS4 yet, when do you think would be a good time?

No real point in focusing on that. Everything people said suggested a 1-TB PS4 at E3, and people were salty there wasn't a smaller Xbox One released as well, in some circles. Microsoft has already pushed out their 1-TB Xbox One with Halo: TMCC for the same price as the PS4+TLoU bundle. Some places are offering additional games/discounts with the Xbox One as well, I believe. I don't think you're going to get anything better until Black Friday, which might next you an extra game or two, and possibly some skinned/bundled AAA titles (such as last year's CoD AW Xbox One, which I expect will have a Guardians iteration this year).
