Nevermind. I found it. Oh btw, I found why my temps are so high. Not enough intake apparently because when i pop out my drive bays, the temp drops almost 6 degrees! Oh well. Gotta fix that.

Sweet! glad you found the problem 🙂 On my setup I find negative pressure with more exhaust than intake works best but it varies according to case design and temps I'm sure....
 
Ok, I modded a heatsink I had from an old socket 7 htsk/fan laying around. After cutting it down with a hack saw, filing the edges. I applied a small amount of thermal paste to the SB and a small amount of adhesive in the corner.

So far I am able to hit some better speeds stable. I was getting errors on prime95 before with 175x10.5, but now I seam to be fine at that speed. Running prime for over an hour as well as 3dmark when i'm not doing anything on the pc to really push it. So far so good. I am very happy to get 400mhz more out of this processor.

Oh yeah, ABSII temp is 50c and die temp is 39c. this is all on an SVC GC69.
 
Hey Thanks you guys and gals for all the feed back and everything. FYI, I just ordered an TT Volcano 9, A1365. The ad said it can handle up to xp2800. I bought it for $17 shipped. Isn't that a great price or what? I found it through pricewatch.com. I'm going to see if I can push it a bit more with that heatsink. My memory will probably be the bottleneck, here. I'll keep all of you posted.

Man my case is like yours then. I put the fan as an intake, and my temps went UP! I don't know, but maybe the holes in my intake arent large enough that it's just blowing the hot air in the case toward my parts. We'll see.

I will b getting the board real soon, the newer 2 revision, cooped with a 2700+ and 1 gig of samsung 3200ram, i'll let ya know what i can the fsb up to monday/tuesday

Good job Dapunisher, I cannot really think of anything else to add right now.

I am still waiting for my replacement FRN2 and my FRN is working great but its out
of commission for the time being because I pulled several parts from that PC
to upgrade my secondary PC which I just modded.
All I need to finish off my Soltek PC now is my Radeon 9800 and a few UV Cold Cathode
lights, I also installed a Sunbeam rheobus because the Tornado fan was driving me insane. 🙂

 
I uninstalled Soltek HM 2.05 and went back to 2.04. I couldnt stand looking at the ABSII temps anymore! I'm too use to seeing the old temp readings. 😉

I uninstalled teh HM altogether because it was wasting space on my HD. 🙂

Holy sweet setups Batman! 😎 I wish I could bring myself to invest in a 9700pro-9800pro but I'm gonna be heading to my Favorite Toy Store for a new addition to my quiver so I will probably settle for the 9500pro.

I downloaded the latest drivers from Soltek's website, but their compressed and I'm not sure how, or where to extract them. Thanks in advance.
 
i just did a 13681 in 3dmarks 2001 with a ti 4200 but i cant publish the score because it says my processor is unknown anybody know anything about that?

What drivers and which version of the board to you have? As far as I know you need not worry about the drivers on the website because
the drivers that come with the board are good.

As far as opening zip files go , what OS are you using? If its XP then unzip the file to where ever you want and then run go there and proceed
to install them. I you are using Windows 98 then you will need a program like WinZip to unzip the files.

Try again , you must have some sort of conflict with 3D Mark going on, that software can flake out sometimes, I have gone as far
as reformatting my HD to cure such problems.
things to try,
update XP
uninstall-reinstall 3D Mark


Very nice score for a Ti4200 though. 🙂
