He probably means tug of war or score duel I guess.

Exactly. Thats what I meant.

You can play those modes as bass? I was not aware. Assumed not since there's no bass solo campaign.

I guess I'm the slow one.

I have about 20-25 DLC songs... not a ton, but I only buy the ones I know and like ... can't afford to just buy everything they put out there 🙂 My gamertag (xbox) is Eachann

Same here. Bought all the Boston and Grateful Dead tunes and a bunch of decent others. Need more ROCK in Rockband. Wish they would put some Led Zep and Floyd.

So, with the price drops in the XBOX 360 and PS3 version, do you guys think the Wii version will release at 149.99? It's still 169.99 pre-order on amazon.

Edited for what I DL'ed. 🙂

That's my breaking point there Oyeve. If I've spent 10 bucks on individual songs, I'm going to spend the $5 more to get the rest.

Ready to get your head spinning? This week are we really covering the spread. First we have a three pack of songs from Jimmy Buffett for $1.99 each (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the pack. Jimmy Buffett rerecorded the three songs for exclusive use in Rock Band, turns out he really digs the game.

Also along for the ride this week is the long-awaited Disturbed three-pack of songs from their new album INDESTRUCTIBLE. Best Buy recently announced they are partnering with MTV Games and Harmonix to offer Disturbed fans the opportunity to download two free tracks from the band?s highly anticipated new album, INDESTRUCTIBLE. By pre-ordering the album at www.BestBuy.com/disturbed, fans will receive instructions to download title track ?Indestructible? and ?Inside The Fire? for Rock Band from Xbox Live. Both of those songs will also be available to all Rock Band owners on 360 and PS3 along with a third track from the album "Perfect Insanity". Each Disturbed track will be available for $.99 per track (80 Microsoft Points) for a limited time, or $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points) for the three pack.

Tracks are as Follows-

"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Indestructible" by Disturbed (master)
"Inside the Fire" by Disturbed (master)
"Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed (master)

who?
who?
who?

total crap. Plus harmonix is requiring a receipt for RMAs now. People with broken drums are screwed now because they haven't fixed their shitty hardware.

I had to "fix" my guitar this weekend. The strum bar was getting sticky when pressed. I unscrewed it and removed the pads that the strum bar hits while strumming - both had started coming loose with glue exposed. Strums better now.

OMG! I just had an epic score duel battle with Sskitzzo, one of the best RB drummers in the world and managed to come out on top on Peace of Mind! 254,125 to 253,650. He's the guy that has all the RB drumming vids on youtube. I can quit RB now!!

Sweet! Congrats!

As I've played on the drums more and more its weird how you get used to doing some of the stuff you thought was impossible before. I used to not be able to do a quick double kick at all, after playing for quite a bit it's becoming easier and easier. As you move up the songs some of the notes and stuff.. sheesh it makes you appreciate the skills some of the drummers have out there.

Hardest part of drumming for me was alternating between bass pedal only and two-handed drum hits on a quick song. Once I got used to that, the game became easier. Still trying to learn to deconstruct the rhythm in order to figure out how quickly to hit quick notes in rapid succession (e.g. Foreplay or Run To The Hills on expert).

can you do reptilia on expert pretty well?

I can beat just about every song on expert drums, but for whatever reason I just cannot do well on Creep. I can't get the timing of the double bass hits.

I'm stuck on don't fear the reaper. In my DLC I'm still stuck on Blackened. I can't figure out how the hell to pass "main riff 2", the bass pedal follows no recognizable pattern, it seems just random.

The Jimmy Buffet songs are great. For those who don't like any song that is easier than the current most difficult song in the game, they probably won't like them... their difficulty I'd say is medium... but they are a ton of fun to play IMHO. Will be great party songs too.

Do you play heel down or heel up? I know once I switched to heel up I got a lot better with quick bass hits in succession like that. For example, any Disturbed song. It's similar to the Dani California bass. Just think ba DUM DUM ba DUM DUM ba DUM DUM. 😛

I play heel up for songs with the quick bass hits. For whatever reason I just can't get the timing right between the double bass hit and the hi-hat hits. I think the double bass starts right after the hi hat hit, but my brain has it going at the same time. I don't know. I get a bit embarrassed when I'm playing with people and I can get 99% on Enter Sandman or the like on Expert and I get 85% on an entry-level song like Creep.
