The fact-checking after the debate matters as little now as it did two weeks ago. Romney got pwned on live TV, and that's what will be remembered.

still think the last one is the one that sticks...but again only time will tell

Regardless I don't think it matters much, O will win this election regardless of the debates

But who knows...gotta wait till Nov.

wooh even CNN is saying that while the O said it was an act of terror he still avoided the word for weeks....thought he might get a slam dunk on that but might not.

sounds like semantics. If he says it once it doesn't count but twice counts?

Romney got destroyed tonight. The President took apart the Romney plan on taxes, immigration, women's right, etc. The most disturbing thing is once again Romney on foreign policy is willing to jump before the facts are known to him and try to make political points on whether the President said act of terror the next day. Romney was dead wrong and looked like the uninformed fool who will jump before all the facts are known. Romney sent out a press release on 9-11 trying to make political hay about the attacks.

Candy Crowley will never moderate another presidential debate. While it helped Obama this time, no candidate is going to want to risk being fact checked mid-debate.

In fact I bet that will be a rule in all future debate agreements.

Like someone said before who cares, it was heard in the moment that Mitt got bitchslapped on that by the mod and the O...

They had Candy on CNN doing post mortem and she said that while she said O mentioned AOT she also said that Mitt was right that the office ignored it for weeks, and also that the audience was half applauding for O and also for Mitt...take it for what it is worth, an after the fact account that no one will care about.

They will just get rid of moderators, keep each candidate in a sound proof box and light it up when it is their time to talk and only for the amount of time they each have.

He does have a rather demanding day job, you know.

Certainly, but at the same time, I can't think of a better top item for to the to do list for protecting the future of America than "keep Republicans away from control of the executive branch". Yes, he has a demanding day job, but he also made a lot of campaign stops and fundraisers that could have been used instead for debate prep, even basic stuff like stop looking at the floor. I'm inclined to cut him some slack on account of other priorities but that still does not excuse the poor performance.

He fucked up. He admitted it. There's not much more to it than that.

In the end, he is only human.

Never said otherwise, I just don't want to start sliding into the Republican modus operandi of making excuses and whining about how it was stacked against him. True or not it looks like whining and overshadows the good performance he had tonight.

I'd call the first debate a 85-15 win for Romney. This debate I'd give Obama a slight lead 55-45. Romney was nowhere near as shitty as Obama was in the first debate so your comparison isn't really comparing apples vs apples. If Romney came out like Obama (10-3) did then you'd have a fair comparison.

I agree for the most part. Obama was awful in the first debate and Romney was nowhere near as bad in this one.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the polls in two or three days.

Romney got destroyed tonight.
Ummm... okay... now we know why you're called chowderhead.

Why Obama did much better than he did previously, he might have won the debate slightly... and certainly not by the margin that Romney kicked is ass by.

Funny thing is the fat "moderator"... Candy... nice name for a stripper, was all but for Camp Obama. Here's an article detailing her views... and how far left and liberal she is:
http://www.ibtimes.com/2012-presidential-debate-moderator-candy-crowley-criticized-being-too-liberal-too-tough-847305
Is it no surprise Obama had 4 minutes more to talk... and she argued with Romney? Funny how when Romney's time was up, almost every time she was shutting him down or letting Mr. Hot-air himself interrupt. Yet one time when the President was talking... his time expired and he rambled on for about a minute... no problem.

Regardless if Obama won this debate... the question you ultimately have to ask yourself is: Is doing better on this debate... and possibly even the 3rd debate enough to make yourself forget the awful four years we've just had under this man? Romney again made the points that over the last four years the deficit has been over 1 trillion each year... and over 5 trillion so far.

Are there seriously people out there that think we aren't going to continue to get the same garbage for four years? The same unemployment where people aren't even looking anymore because they've given up. People are going to college and can't get jobs because many of the crap jobs Obama has "created" are part-time or low wages. Oh wait... he of course has been hiring more IRS agents and more inspectors to go around and check out small businesses with a fine tooth comb so he can drum up money by fining them and getting money for any penalties they come up with. Anyone that owns a small business knows that ANY business can be fined just about at any time... because there's just about no way to do everything to the letter of the law. I know because I own a business and no matter how straight of a line you walk, there's always going to be something they can nail you for... whether you made an error purposely or accidentally.

Sorry, but I'd much rather have the unknown, than the known in the White House. Obama had his chance... four years... and he did next to nothing to improve anything. What makes you think another four years is going to magically turn it around? Look... he can only blame Bush so long... eventually he has to take responsibility for SOMETHING. How many stinking years does he need to make his "change"? If he gets another four years... do you REALLY think he's going to accomplish the goals he hasn't already? It's okay... we already know... you can say it... you know he's not.

We know.

What the hell yoou guys don't want to discuss the roose garden article why , The word terror is in there but not the way obbummer said it was in the debate not at all . S

The whole mohummed movie thing has people playing Romney and acting like fish out of water. Its nice having old topics to go back to , Tells a story they do .

Well ya when the fact check was out of context to what Romney was saying , Because that also was in the same article . Problem was terror was not used towards the mobs that day. As was covered earilier in the same article and was referred to as Mobs and unfortunite degrading of a prophet
