So WTF is this error? I've seen a post from an 8500 user that gives a similar error.

P.S. Sound Blaster Live! Platinum.

I can't complete the damn test. I think I'm going back to 2001. It looks nicer anyway. 😛

P.S. Had the same problem with the "FMOD error in FSOUND_SetVolume: An invalid parameter was passed to this function." problem. Solution: Update drivers from Sound blaster web site, 3dmark incorrectly tries to test with 60 3d sounds, which no SB card can do right now (maybe audigy 2). New drivers fixes it.
 
4685 on a PIII 500 and 9700pro on an Abit BE6-II with 256 MB of PC133.

Should run DOOM 3 great 😀 I can't wait!!!

I could probably break 5000 if I OC, but I'm happy with my performance now

Results using Windows XP SP1 with DX9 and Catalyst 3.1 on ATI Radeon 8500LE 128MB clocked at 274.5/274.5.

XP2700 @ 2380, 9700 @ 325/310 on K7N2 = 4650 3dmark. Had some error about couldn't load some sound thing, but it seemed to finish.
