By the way, any insights on if there will be a PS5 pro? If so, any speculation on when it will be launched?
I mean, are we going to have a PS6?
I'm in the same boat. I don't think the PS5 resale value will drop much. So I would prefer to hold onto it for the time being unless I get a really, really good buyer. My PS5 cost me almost $700 (yes, this happens when you get an itch to play Gran Turismo).Just wanted to get a sentiment check on if y’all or folks you know are thinking similarly? Basically is the GPU improvement (3x FLOPs, but won’t translate to 1 for 1 perf correlation), worth it in you opinion?
If I were to, I’d sell the console and just wait out a bit then buy on release/when reviews came out.
The OS UI on the Playstation helps with its background music and animations. Gets one in the mood to play your heart out. Windows can distract you into taking a break from games. I think the OS UI/UX design is a key reason that Microsoft failed to get with the Xbox. I haven't tried Xbox Series S or X but the Xbox One S/X UI was pretty boring, almost like Windows. Aesthetics matter to the human mind and if you are able to psychologically make someone feel better with sights and sounds, you can bet they will keep coming back for more. While PC gaming is better in many ways, there's just something about playing one's favorite game on a large TV.

Which is, of course, something PC gaming does.
You mean with a laptop? I suppose so, but I game on my desktop, and can't imagine dragging it and hooking it up to my TVs.
Trust me, I've done that. It's just not the same level of immersion. Exiting the game or tinkering with the graphics settings breaks immersion. Console helps you stay focused on the mission. Game and only game till you are too tired to game anymore.I game on my desktop, and can't imagine dragging it and hooking it up to my TVs.
@DAPUNISHER will also agreeAll things being equal, a comfortable lounge chair and a big TV can't be beat when it comes to gaming.
Laptop or desktop. It's well within its capability. Even if you don't want to move your desktop, which is a you problem and not a PC gaming problem, you can still stream from your desktop to your TV with Steam link.

The weird part about Xbox is that their UI's used to be so much better. The blades on the 360 was a simple and sleek design. The OS UI on the Playstation helps with its background music and animations. Gets one in the mood to play your heart out.
