I DID IT GUYS!
And at level 13 no less. Got bored with all the guild and misc. quests and just went straight for the endgame. A little too easy though.
Despite many peoples claims to the contrary, I think this was even less balanced than Elder Scrolls 3. In morrowind, having static encounters meant I had to get stonger before I could deal with tougher quests late in the game.
But I bet I could have beaten Oblivion at level 10 if I wanted to.
Overall, really fun but short. I dont think I got my 50 bucks worth.

The side quests dont seem as important now, though the vampire that talked to me after I beat it was kind of fun.

To the gent or lady wanting help with the asassinations: Try hiding in a corner, out of view of innocents, and using a bow and arrows. Thats what I did. It worked. A paralyzing arrow is probably best.

To all the folks who keep asking about houses: I posted a full list along with prices and who to talk with. I must have said it in at least three different threads. But they keep getting locked and this one is so long that folks dont read it.
Do a search for "house" and "shortylickens". You will find it.
