Regarding the WHQL status of these drivers, it appears that the International vesion is WHQL, but not the English. Strange. Also, the unofficial Forceware 55 release (56.56?) that I got 2 weeks ago from BFG website was WHQL. That version doesn't have the popup blocker though. What happened NV?

I prefer WHQL, but if there are enough fixes in the non-certified version, I will not hesitate to install them. If they are problematic, you can always roll-back.

RE: WHQL

I *think* the international version of these drivers are WHQL. I have to imagine that nVidia just didn't submit English-only drivers for that certification.

Thanks, SonicDeathMonkey. I was wondering what was up. I guess since I upgraded the drivers wuth coolbits enabled, for some reason it enabled those features, but not the menu options for them. I see the "Performance Graph" option now. Pretty cool feature.

I've grown kinda skeptical of the whole WHQL thing, especially since a while back nVidia had to pull that set of WHQL'd nForce drivers that caused a lot of people to have to format and reinstall (myself included) because the MCP2 IDE drivers were so buggy. If the WHQL process can't catch a big fark up like that, their seal of approval doesn't mean much to me.

I'm still most impressed by the pop-up blocker, that thing even stopped the pop-ups from weather.com!!! (which are macromedia based). My girlfriend is all kindz of happy about it.

I see no need to upgrade (seirously...when was the last time they bothered to update anything related to the mx420?), so I won't

but I also think its lame how bloasted drivers are getting these days
