aka--Porting it is too hard. aka--Pc Users will likely hate the Low Quality of a simple Console Port with no PC specific enhancements, like decent Graphical improvements.

Don't know if this was common knowledge or not but it was news to me. Alan Wake isn't coming to the PC.

From the article

remeber when HALO was just going to be on the Xbox -only- too... If Uncharte.... err Alan Wake is a big hit it willl be on the PC. MS live for PC is dying so hard right now and STEAM is turning into a huge success. MS wants LIVE for PC to work out. I'm sure they will get it there eventally (if its a hit).. after all the 360 is just a PC in a smaller box, porting it to the PC should be simple now that nobody "seems" tocares if you leave console menus in games for the PC.

personaly most Console ports to PC are so bad (not all) I dont care if they make it.

But.. but... two years this game was the reason everyone insisted on going with a quad-core over a dual-core.

Stupid excuses, the only one I'd really buy at this point is that MS paid for exclusivity. Everything else sounds like horse shit to me.

In semi-related news, I saw a lot of absolutely massive displays hooked up to PCs at PAX this year. They were demoing nVidia's 3D glasses all over the place and one other technology, which I forget, but it had something like 6 LCDs hooked up to a single PC running a video game across all of them. We are talking about the equivalent of sitting 1 foot away from a damn omnitheater.

Sadly Nvidia had 3D glasses back in the TNT2 days that never caught on,I still have mine! yah, i was a sucker for the gadgets back then as much as today. Worked ok, but you couldnt wear um for more then 15 minutes or so. I would imagin the tech is better nowdays, but its still a gimic.

the 6 monitor stuff is most likly Eyefinity fair quick video of some gameing with it here:
