oh boy now it's turning naste here:)
the packers a 3.5 point favorite....that to high? just look at it in the real world. they must go GB and play in the cold on field a that gives there team the most powerful home field advantage. look at the stats. gb has the longest home game winning streak record ever, they have never lost a playoff game at home ever. they may have one of the highest if not the highest home game winning record percentage in the nfl thru out history. and look at the 49ers real world regular season plat this year .it's not as good as it appears. they had fairly easy season and when they played a good team they usually lost.

it's not that i hate the 49ers....but lets get real. the odds of them winning the superbowl are very low

I agree. Hell last week the worse team in the NFL beat them.

<< Hahahaha.. You think Hispanics will feel it an insult to be associated with the "Boys"? Hmmm Maybe you are right. >>

You are the one who is on record saying you don't like the cowboys then you associate South Americans with them.

So I ask again, what do you have against Hispanics?

Perhaps you should apologize for your remark.

<< Should I expect a thread over in F.I. by you complaining to the Mods about my post like you did with Moonbeams? >>

Moonbeam took the September 11th attack and tried to capatilize on it by scaring everyone about nuclear weapons being shipped into the US without a shred of proof. He should have been reported.

When did this thread turn into a racial discussion about the Cowboys and Hispanics?

The Cowboys are a bunch of money-grubbing coke addicts that bicker and fight worse than a bunch of schoolkids. They are the New York Yankees of football. Bleeeeeeeeeech... hate them both.

Anyway ~ back to the thread....

I can't argue that playing in the cold will be a big issue, but don't downplay the Niners' season saying they played easy teams. Everybody always says that about any other team... "oh, their schedule was easier" BLAH BLAH.... what's important is which team shows up at Lambeau this Sunday. As I said before, the 49ers truly played two different sides of football all season... real bad football & excitingly effective football.

I can't WAIT for this game !

The spread is only 3.5??

Wow. GB will win by more than that. ;)

Not that I have anything against the Niners. Now that the got rid of Young, they're a team worth rooting for, but it is January and it is in GB.

the hell does that mean? Steve Young had to have been one of the more stand-up guys in all of football. Never bitched and moaned, has a law degree, excelled in all aspects of the game. I have no idea how anyone would have anything against Young. Except maybe his commentating....

Not to mention one of the best quarterbacks, talent wise, to ever play the game.

the Green Bait Peckers are overrated at best. Bret Faver will have one of his classic chokes where he throws a pick on the one yard line and loses the game.

And anyone who says the bears are just lucky, i'm sorry, but no team is lucky enough to win 13 games. That team has a lot of talent, and if you don't see it, then maybe you should stick with croquet.

<< Steve Young is a dick. >>

Most intelligent statement heard in a while.

Cuz that makes sense, too....

[edit] this is sarcasm

I like the pack and I think they will pull it off. Favre never loses when it's freezing. never. I'll bet it'll be freezing

You and everybody else who he and the Niners whooped ass on. How lucky were the Niners to have two of the best quaterbacks ever to play in succession? (well maybe not so much luck, Walsh was a genius and Eddie D spent money like no ones business)

BTW, I think the Pack will win. They've beaten better Niner teams than this back there.

I think it'll be a shoot out.

Both teams have weaknesses that the other team can exploit.

As far as the Packers Niner's game... my money would be on the Pack. Although I would fear them for the sake of the Bears.

If the Pack wins are they for sure going to play Chicago then? How does that work...

St. Louis plays the lowest seed left after WildCard weekend.
Chicago plays the highest seed.

Here are the seeds:
1. st louis
2 chicago
3 philadelphia
4 green bay
5 san francisco
6 tampa bay

If GB wins... then TB will have to win for a GB vs. Chicago matchup to happen.

But it's not gonna, cuz the NINERS are winning damnit!!!

This is the only time in my life I have wanted Green Bay to win. This is only because I want to see a Green Bay vs. Chicago match up and watch the Bears walk all over the Packers this time. Da Bears

Then you'll wake up and face the reality that the Bears are vastly over rated and would end up being the Pack's little bitch..IMHO.

The Bears have gotten their as*es kicked each time the Pack has played them. How do you really think they have a legit chance?

I'm surprised that the line is so close. Remember, the Packers get 3 points for just being the home team. So, they are only a .5 favorite when matched up player for player......

Please. The Packers are a below average team without Farve... The Bears without Miller, are still a 10-12 win team.

busmaster11: What kind of logic is that?

They DO have Favre, will have Favre, and have kicked the Bears a*s twice this year......

I desperately want the Niners to win, as I've been a fan from the very start being a San Francisco native. I agree that the forty niners have a bit of an easy schedule, but keep in mind that when the schedule was created, the teams that they were to play were intended to be better than they were. A lot of things were expected out of the Saints and the Colts, but alas they flopped this season. Seifert has a winning streak against the Niners, which wasn't broken until this year. Atlanta was a team that knocked the niners out a couple years back, but without anderson they aren't much of a threat. But, whatever happens happens, I won't take sides because I have a love for the game and not a love for arguing. I'm a big Alstott fan though, so I hope the Bucs will make it passed the Eagles.

Well, talk trash as much as you want, but atleast the Bears didn't lie down for any team, (except maybe that second Packers game) and they didn't get blown out by the Vikes... LOL

In any case, I'll look forward to seeing me and any otehr NFL fan talking trash on here eat crow if and when the time comes, provided you are honorable enough to...
