Game was great to watch (I'm glad that the series is finally on NBC so I can watch it ><)

After the 5-0 game2 blowout, I thought the oilers were done, but Markenen (sp?) made some incredible saves. That one where he got the blocker on it to deflect it enough to hit the crossbar was pretty amazing. Cam ward also made some saves. The goalies have been fun to watch this series 🙂

Gluck to the oilers in Caniac territory on Wed. Would be fun to see a high scoring game with both teams just connecting.
 
Damn it........ they locked the old canucks thread 🙁

Oh well........ it was getting pretty slow to load anyhow.

I guess we will have to make a new one every year.

I won't be able to stand the cup going to a soutern team where the vast majority of the community doesn't even care about the sport. I bet the cup win won't even make front page news, so sad.

Game 4 was good, more evenly played game. Great goaltending on both ends. Hard skating and hard work along the boards. This is turning out to be more of a series than I thought it would be.

Looking back at my sabres playing the canes. If the sabres were totally healthy and not calling up 18 year olds from the minors to play, they would have beat (destroyed 😉) the canes. The canes had to play a full 7 games against the sabres, who had a completely depleated roster, to the point where it was dismal.

I really don't think the oilers can bounce back being down 3-1.

I agree with everything you said. Carolina won't really care that they won the cup. Game 4 was quite entertaining. If only the Sabres were healthy it would be them in the finals, and the Oilers are screwed. 🙁
 
Cory Stillman being on the cup two seasons in a row with two different teams is worth rooting for the 'Canes for me.

That and the value of my autographed Cory Stillman stick will go up. 😉
 
I think if the Canes win it, Ward should get the Conny followed by Stillman. Brindy is awesome but Wardo and Stilly are playing sick!

That said, if the Oilers can't pull off a road win tonight with their balls firmly in the eye of the storm, they don't deserve to win anything.

Let's go Oilers... like MacT said, every cliche applies at this moment. 🙂

Greeat ending. if EDM plays with this level of tenacity in game 6 and 7, they could very well win it all. I'm giving EDM a 25% chance of doing it. I think games 6 and 7 are coin flips.
