CRAAAAAP they missed Spezza badly. I have Hasek on my fantasy team and he gets lit up for 4 goals on the board and a loss. 🙁

No Crosby, I think he deserved it but he'll have a chance in 4 years. I guess Doan and Draper are there for the PK. I don't know about Foote, they could have taken a young up-and-comer defenceman like Brent Seabrook

I don't think that Russia has the roster depth that Canada has but you never know with Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, and Malkin (assuming he plays); regardless, Canada for gold! Also the Czech republic will be good since Hasek and Jagr are playing at the top of their game these days.

edit: you're right, McCabe is an alternate. I don't know, I think that McCabe should have been on the team with the season he's having (drop Foote to alternate).

Question for the fantasy hockey people in the thread. In one of my pools I traded away Lehtonen and Gagne for Cole, Frolov, and Jovo. On a scale from 1 to 10 how good do you think this deal is?

Lehtinen is just picking up steam in my opinion, and he plays on the PP with Modano. Gagne is hurt... not sure when he's back but i don't think it's long term.

Frolov is a great sleeper whose name isn't super well-known yet, but i have a feeling he is destined to be a fantasy stud. Cole I have never had much use for in terms of fantasy value. Jovo is obviously a good pick for a defenseman since he also sees PP time and is an ice-time hog.

on a scale of 1 to 10 i would rate this deal a 6.

Kari Lehtonen, the Thrashers' starting goalie who's on IR, not Jiri Lehtinen the Stars' forward

Cole is solid this year, he's got 27 pts and 42 PIM (he plays with Staal). Anyway, I'm good on goalies: I have Brodeur, Legace, and Miller now, so I could afford to get rid of Lehtonen

I managed to snag Hasek, Staal, Gagne, and Spezza during the draft... also picked up Jere Lehtinen 2 weeks ago (cause Gagne went down) and he got real hot... my other players include Ovechkin, Yashin, Mogilny, Selanne, Demitra, Lecavalier, and Phaneuf. Undefeated every week so far. 😉 Too bad Legace got hurt.

BTW, Gagne is supposed to be back any day now... he was slated for 2 weeks back on 12/10.
 
You can't say you had a good draft in the ATOT hockey pool because there were only two people there drafting and it was already a few weeks into the season so all the players that were undervalued by Yahoo were easy to pick up 😛
Also, you just snuck by me on a week where Ottawa played 3 times and Spezza had 8 points, things will be different next time, mark my word 😀 😉
