Blah, where are the Leafs 🙁 ? All 3 teams I was rooting for in the playoffs are already out - Detroit, NYR, Tampa Bay. I guess I'll shift my love to the Devils in the East and the Avs in the West. Blah...

Both of those teams are my boys! I've always liked both of those teams and was only cemented further in the 01 finals.

I think the Devils will keep on kicking ass. The Avs, depending on who they play can advance. I think they would have a hard time against the flames, but at the same time I want the Flames to win, so Anaheim loses, and sends its youngin's back to my hometown so we can win the calder cup 😀!!

Buffalo plays alot like New Jersey a series between them would be interesting, and would most likely go to a game 7. Plus I want my Sens to get to play the Habs. 😉

Things have gone so far according to plan. Except that my Avs didn't sweap Dallas, although it was close.

Detriot losing last night means that things in the west will go like this.

Anaheim will beat Calgary tomorrow
Edmonton will best San Jose in 6 games
Colorado will win over Anaheim in 5
Edmonton versus Colorado to see who goes to the Cup

Should be exciting, even if we play Calgary I'm confident the Avalanche will get at least as far as the conference finals. The east doesn't matter much to me because I believe who ever wins in the West will take the cup, but I'll be rooting for the senators

Thats just the way I'm calling it right now, but I agree with you on the first comment anyway. Roloson did one hell of a job against all of Detroits snipers, I think he can handle more then you think. Its going to be close, thats for sure - but if Edmonton plays the way they did against Detroit, Edmonton will win. They were outshot a lot of the games, but Roloson made save after save. Kind of like the Avalanche right now with Theadore, that last game Dallas outshot us 15-5 or so in the OT period, but Turco sucks and let one through, just as Legacy sucks

Legace let in bad goals all series long. Games where the Wings were winning Legace let in goals he should of had.

The Devils were arguably the hottest team going into the playoffs. They've now won 15 straight, including games against Philadelphia, Carolina and Buffalo.

Wow! I didn't think anyone cared or followed the AHL here! I admit, I only follow my the Pirates, but still someone else knew what I was talking about!

I think the Pirates will do ok, and if Anaheim loses they get back Perry Getzlaf, and Penner!!(awesome that you are somehow related btw; very cool :thumbsup: ) That was our first line for a while, which was hugely productive! Perry scored a point in all 17 of his games here, setting a franchise record in the process! We also have Bobby Ryan who is suppossed to be daaaamn good as well. I the pirates will do well, but do even better with them. Anaheim has some very good talent in its system right now, they will be very good if not better than now in the coming seasons.

I'm glad to see another AHL fan here 🙂. Hope the Moose make it to the finals so we can duke it out 😀

Right, and all of them hadn't been playing well when the Devils got to them. For Buffalo, it was their 7th loss in 8 games. For Carolina, it was one of the games in which they lost 6 of 7 (counting the first 2 playoff losses). For Philly, they didn't win two straight games at the end of the regular season after March 25th. Not as impressive as it may seem.

You gave an analysis that said "Carolina...Buffalo". Last I checked, neither of those teams won. Maybe you'll rethink that analysis when the Broad Street Bullies put a hurtin' on Buffalo tonight. 😉

While I do think that those two teams are moving on, by not mentioning Philly or Montreal, I meant that I didn't think they'd take it to the Devils. 🙂
