As much as I love my Wings I'm very skeptical. I'm just thinking shape up for next year guys at this point. But, I'll watch every game I can.

I'm hoping the Canucks win it. But my prediction is Preds (and I hate them) vs Flyers.

If Vancouver riots that hard when they lose, I'd hate to see what happens if they win. :hmm:

I'm meh on this. Leafs, Sens, and Canadiens are out. OJHL hockey is almost done.

I don't know how you stay out of the box when blowing on the opponent was reason for a penalty.

That being said, I feel a lot better about the Wings chances after seeing this game.

Are you serious? Did you watch the game or just look at the stats? The ref calls were terrible.

I'd say the Wings earned maybe 3 of their penalties and the Preds maybe 2. It was one of those nightmare games to watch no matter which team you root for.

Flyers apparently had the Pens right where they wanted 'em, down 0-3.

There was no effort at all on the pens part for the flyers OT goal. None. They just sat back thinking they could turn it on and off. They learned a hard lesson and lost the home ice advantage now.

Damn the Pens got complacent from the second period on, no excuse for that. Also how that ref missed the off side goal is beyond me. To be over the blue line by 3 feet and not see it is mind boggling. Still even at 3 to 1 the pens should have played better. The pens had to many cute passes that ended up as turn overs. What was working in the first period was one guy would carry the puck down the ice instead of these cute passes back and forth to each other. I will say this pens out hit the Flyers but was not enough to keep them from scoring.

Can't wait for Weber to be a UFA. I'd love to see him in Philly. Will he miss the next game? Probably. Does he deserve it? Maybe. But he sent a message in what might be a long series. He also didn't connect, and Zetterberg wears a visor, so it pisses me off that his soft euro bullshit extends to staying down for effect. For that alone, I hope Weber isn't suspended.

Offside goal or not there is no excuse for the way they let the Flyers walk all over them. On the OT goal Staal was flat out lazy trying to clear that puck and Voracek had to motor in from nowhere to score that. They dug their own grave.

I think he's gone for one game, possibly two. And no, this isn't the edge the Wings need to get fired up. They just cannot win on the road. I forsee an early exit for the Wings this year.
