lol Finley, right in the numbers and you drop it. Let's see if Rodgers ignores you some more.

You seen the Patriots play this season? Granted, they're 3-1, but are a 4-0 caliber team like the Packers.
Yeah I have, and they're limiting the throwing. Also building the rookies both on defense and offensive line. It's understood.

vick is getting chewed up

And with that, I just have to send out a big "I told you so" to those individuals (who shall remain nameless) who were practically booking Vick's admittance to Canton last year while those of us with sanity said "Let's see him put together a few good years first."

Vick is still a top 5 QB currently in my opinion.

Haven't watched much of the game tonight, just a general thought:

Matt Ryan might be maxed out. Opposing Ds have figured out he can't throw the deep ball, and that's trouble in the NFL.

The stats so far don't bear that argument out.

Stats? Simply relying on stats is for chumps. Vick is still an incredibly dangerous weapon. His stats this season aren't terrible either. This last game really killed his stats and was definitely his worst game, but he made big plays to bounce back and put his team in a position to win.

I wonder how Vick would be behind Brady or River's O-line.

why? because he had one top-5 season--last year?

I like Vick, always have, but he's always been a mid-tier NFL QB simply b/c of his decision making. He has all the tools--cannon of an arm, accuracy, speed and escape and simply because he's Michael Vick, defenses always have to consider another level of threat.

problem is, up until last season, he was terrible in the pocket, which is necessary for an NFL QB, and simply made a lot of bad decisions.

Right now, I'd put it something like:

Manning/Brady > Rodgers > Roflsburger/Rivers > Ryan > Stafford > Vick or Schaub > Lesser Manning > Cutler....

Vick was obviously int he top 3 or 4 last year and very much deserved to be with how drastically he changed his style. But he sure hasn't looked it this year.

1-4 is a pretty telling stat.

Well, I wouldn't put Big Ben or Ryan or Stafford over Vick. I can see why you'd put Ben above Vick, but Matt Ryan? Stafford? If Stafford can have a full good season, and then some, I'll consider it. Ryan hasn't pushed it beyond above average, solid QB in my opinion. He has trouble with the deep ball, and hasn't had the brilliance I'd expect from a top 5 QB. Schaub??? Are you kidding me? Will not respond.

His throws really were pretty much spot in the couple games I've seen this season. Last game against the 49ers as well as against the Bills. His really bad INT was to Nick Barnett today, and that was when he was getting hit with some bad miscommunication with Desean.

Also, trying to discount his ability to run is just... unfair. You consider the total package as a player, and his ability to run does make him a more dangerous QB. Obviously, the ability to throw/read defenses is far more important as a QB, and that's why Brady/Rodgers are far above Vick.

Vick is in a rough situation too. Horrible O-line and no real power running game. And for as much as Philly spent on players on the def side they are far from living up to the expectations. They are getting torched trying to stop the run.

Ugh I need Matt Ryan to throw an Int or Fumble here to win in FF.

 I'm a prophet, however it might not be enough!

So we have 3 teams left (Fins, Colts, and Rams) for the Andrew Luck lottery.

When did I discount his ability to run? I said that was one of his major strengths (speed, escape).

In fact, he became the all-time leading rusher for a QB today. I also touted his accuracy with the ball and his cannon arm. Like I said, Vick has all the tools that a superior QB needs, but in what--7 total seasons, he's managed to put together 1 superior season? I think the guy is truly reformed and he has certainly changed his game for the better, I want to see him do well.

Granted, I think the biggest problem for him this year is young OLine that was put together this year. That's not good. Considering that he has managed to convert himself to a pocket QB, he probably isn't looking to go back to his old ways so quickly, though he might need to in order to keep the Eagles in it.

yeah, those 2 INTs at the end really helped me out, lol. I especially loved that final, meaningless, garbage INT as the clock expired.

Yea well I tried to be clever and play the titans d vs the steelers (who were supposed to be slowed by injuries...) instead of the Jets d vs the Pats, and ended up getting negative pts... i lost by 1

I can't believe the Bucs did so poorly against the 9ers. They're just not that good of a team...

I thought for sure that SD was gonna give the game to the Denver Donkeys...they certainly tried.

SF has had one of the best defenses in the league the last few years. That front seven would be the best in the NFL if they had a stud/elite pass rusher. And they have some nice playmakers on offense with a good coach and scheme.

I feel comfortable saying that the 49ers are pretty good. At least good enough to get some respect in the league rather than a team you can just mark as an auto-W.

Vick has never been known for his accuracy. Before he came back, Vick's highest accuracy season was a feeble 56.4 and even with his recent improvement, his career accuracy is 55.8
