Haha, Oakland got so lucky. SD just choked at the end. They were at the 20, well within FG range for the win. Then the holding and the fumble.

Bears were hilarious. Collins with a QB rating of 6 and they win big. Same with Palmer, who pretty much lost the game for them at the end when they should have just ran the ball.

there's a reason you don't see an NFC team in the power rankings till you get to the end of the top 10.

Has there ever been a rookie QB making his first career start defeat the reigning Super Bowl Champions before?

Probably not many. The Saints have been plagued with injuries, but they're just not playing well with what they have. Something must have changed, because Brees is just not throwing that well.

Yeah, the NFC is a joke so far. Ravens and Jets are at the top I think, with the Steelers maybe third. After that, it is a tough call on the rest.

Don't be surprised if the Giants pull it together and become the team to beat in the NFC.

The loss of Bush takes away an important dimension of their passing game, but they didn't look good before that.

Time for this week's edition of: "Meanwhile, in San Francisco, Mike Singletary..."

...apparently has a new strategy for the game. When interviewed by Andrea, he spills the beans:

Andrea: "Mike, what did you tell your team they need to do?"
Mike: "Win. Just win."

Look out Landry, Walsh, and Lombardi -- you might have company.

Great start for the eagles -_-

This is going to turn out like the Chicago NY game last week I'm thinking.

Between the Ravens and Jets, it is a close call. I laughed at Sanchez earlier in the year, but since they've opened up the playbook, he has impressed me. Flacco has more weapons but has lacked consistency. I think the Ravens are the better team, but not by much.

LOL, the Ravens and Jets would beat the Falcons handily and DESTROY the Bucs.

Aha...and this is based on the fact that you see it all? Never call a game before its even played. I don't know know if you watch College Football...But no one ever thought the gamecocks would beat Alabama...To put it in NFL caliber...Saints vs cowgirls, saints vs bucs, giants vs NE, oak vs SD...Shit happens, its called an upset.

I think the whole NFL is up in the air right now. Even the AFC big hitters aren't looking as great as they normally are. Its shaping up to be a great season.

Obviously, anything can happen on any given Sunday. What I am saying, however, is that if the Falcons played the Ravens in 10 games, the Ravens are going to win 7 or 8 of them. Ditto with the Jets.

If the Bucs played the Ravens 10 games, the Ravens take 8 or 9. Ditto with the Jets.

That's what we're talking about -- the averages, not the upsets. The Ravens and Jets are simply far better teams than any in the NFC and not only that, I'd probably put the Steelers and the inconsistent Colts, Chargers, Pats, and Titans above just about any NFC team as well at this point in the season.

As I previously mentioned, the team to be very afraid of in the NFC right now is the Giants. They seem to be pulling it together on defense and that should frighten everyone.

You just said Tampa would beat New Orleans next week. Which is it?

Based on the way the saints are playing, i think we got a good chance to pull off an upset, thats all i'm trying to say. Shit, every single sportscaster will have the saints in top of the bucs any day, doesn't mean the bucs can't win. All said, was if the Saints played the way the played against the cardinals when they face the bucs, there is a pretty good change the bucs can win. This isn't the same 3-13 bucs and not the same 14-2(13-3?) saints.

I agree. It's been an exciting season so far, and it's getting reflected in our FF league. 3 people are 3-1, one person is 0-4, and 10 people are 2-2.

Where's Deeko when you need him. Waiting for him to tell me how horrible the Titans and Vince Young are and how great Dallas and Tony Romo is.

Check please..... 🙂

if the jets manage to win tomorrow night the top three of the discussion would be them, ravens, and shittsburgh. after that toss in about 3 other top afc teams and then you start looking to rank in a nfc team.
