Chargers and Giants are a very quiet 3-1, while the Eagles are a horrendous 1-3.

In other news, Suck for Luck looks to be a battle between the Vikings and Colts at this stage. Come on Colts, don't let me down! :D

you forgot about the fins. Since they're in the suck for luck sweepstakes as well. The fins need a franchise QB, since Chad Henne or Matt moore are not their future QB.

The Giants lucked out yesterday. Although, I won't complain about them beating the Cardinals.
Eagles and Cowboys had epic meltdowns. Great to see. I can only think that Detroit is more lucky than good at this point. Romo was a dumbass to keep throwing the ball when up by so much.
The Ravens and Jets game was lame, as expected. The only good part was seeing Rex Ryan blow up at the official over the Sanchez fumble/incompletion, and then seeing him lose.

epic meltdown indeed for the eagles and the cowgirls. The lions are a good 2nd half team. Guess the NFC east belong to the giants and redskins for now.

Ravens D killing it. So many bone-crushing hits this year. Loving every second of it.

Am I the only one that hates the QB sliding feet first rule? I think that once a QB crosses the line of scrimmage, they should be treated like a runner. Instead, they can slide, and God help us if anyone dares touching them.

Unless you're number 7 playing for the Eagles.

It's a fair rule. If a QB slides and gives himself up then he should be off limits. It's no different than a fair catch rule on punts. There are some saftey oriented calls I have no problem with, and this is one of them. Ask Aaron Rodgers about his concussion and if he'll be sliding in head first any more if he can avoid it.

But running backs don't get to do this. If a QB wants to try to get positive yards, they are officially a runner.

Different position, different body types, different impacts to a franchise if they lose one vs. the other.

Not all the time. Big Ben or Cam Newton should fair just as well as Darren Sproles going against other players. I understand the fair catch rules, they are defensless, but QB's should see the players coming. I just think it is weak, that a player can run and then lay down and not get touched.

What's so "retarded" about my statement?

the bone-crushing hits part. loving that is akin to loving shitty defense. real tackles are what makes a good defense, praising bone-crushing hits just re-enforces the decline of fundamental skills and the rash of horrific injuries that have become common place in the game over the last decade. (they were always there, actually, we just ignored them, and once those "old timers" hit their 43rd birthday, we just let them die in the rest home, away from the spotlight...).

though, Baltimore is very good at both. Big hits are certainly part of the game, but should never be preferred over playing real defense. it generally leads to bone-headed gaffs by an overzealous defensive player.

and crap: I meant to say jailbreaks on Sanchez--not Flacco. wrong QB, lol

Watching someone like Adrian Peterson, you see him fight for every yard, pushing through guys as best he can. I don't think he'd slide even if he were allowed to. And a (non-QB) player who did would probably get laughed out of the locker room.

Ever compare how muscle-bound a runningback is compared to a quarterback? Anyways, a runningback who consistently slides to avoid contact probably ends up being benched.

I feel old because of the graphic they just showed. This is Freeney's 10th season? Time does fly when you get older.

Lol, a WR apparently can give themselves up going headfirst. Just ask Victor Cruz. :)

I'm okay with a QB being able to slide to end the play. There are enough injuries as is even in the pocket. The depth chart is usually a lot better at the other positions except maybe kicker but those guys are pretty interchangeable for the most part. As opposed to losing someone like Manning->Painter.

wow, the 49ers are 3-1, and they're not in the running for we suck for luck sweepstakes. Only the rams, colts, vikes, and fins are in the suck for luck sweepstakes.
