He had to bench Manuel, Buffalo has a lot of talent across the board but you need a stable QB to win some games, maybe Orton's no top-ten QB but they are thinking he won't hurt them with dumb throws..

Only reason that was done is new owner, desperation to post a winning season to save the front offices' jobs. Nothing more, nothing less. Especially after trading away this year's 1st rounder when it could have been likely to have been Marcus Mariotta.

So far the Pat's offense looks like WTF, as in WTF is Brady doing throwing deep to a completely covered Edelman?

The Niners go further with Kaep than Smith, it's been proven. When you can remove Smith's balls from your chin we could continue to talk about it. You make it a point to bring it up in almost any FB thread, we get it, you like Smith.

Do I think Kaep is the next best thing since sliced bread or the 2nd coming of PFM? Hell no. But we saw what Smith was able to do and CONTINUES to do in KC vs what Kaep has shown the potential to do. The book is closed on Smith, Kaep still has a year or to left to write his narrative.

We're talking football in here, why do you have to be a wise and beautiful woman about it?

Any 5 years old without rationality or the ability to contextualize the game would say "Kaep went further with Niners than Smith". Yes, that is a fact, but you'll have to realize that Smith was actually HALF of the season that the Niners reached the Super Bowl only to be squandered away by failed plays from your precious QB that failed to see opened Vernon Davis in the end zone. That's after being bailed out by the Blackout Gate.

The next season, having a much improved WRs corp and a command of a championship caliber team, your precious failed again in the same manner that he failed from the previous year. Compare that to Smith of a locked-out season when he actually went to the NFCCG with BRET FUCKING SWAIN MAN. BRET FUCKING SWAIN! While having to coach the team for Harbaugh.

And, the downward slide begins for CK7.

So, while Smith doesn't possess the urban qualities that would appeal to a certain demographic, I think he's a much better QB. And I'm not alone.

Wow, 14-0, KC. NE had a 3rd and3 and tried to get tricky and run for it and it got snuffed, they punt back to KC who rips off a 38yrd run, 2 pinpoint passes by Smith and Boom, back in the end zone, so far they have the NE defense totally befuddled with formations they have not seen before.

Shoot, the Pats need to look at 4th and 2 and go for it since they have only forced KC to punt once so far..

Jesus that KC punter can hang a ball like hell, by the time Edleman caught it he was instantly tackled back at the 6yrd line..

New England looks poorly coached/gameplanned. And Reid's playcalling has been pretty damn good.

I still don't know what Knile Davis is doing in there instead of Charles half the time. The one big run of his Charles would've had a TD on. I just had to laugh when Gruden commented that Davis is a hammer compared to Charles. He's not at all (Christian Okoye he most definitely is not). Charles is actually better at lowering his shoulder than Davis is.

Kelce looks like the man.

Christ Brady, all you had to do was scamper 3yds with no one in your way and you force a pass to Edleman who is in tight coverage and it gets tipped away, Maybe Brady needs to yell at himself once in a while, that was disappointing to see as a Pat's fan.

Andy Reid is making sure that the Pats D is seeing different looks and it's working perfectly.

I don't know where the hell this playcalling has been. Not even when they were stomping the Colts for the first 2 and a half quarters was the playcalling this good, although it's comparable.

Glad he stopped trying to make Alex throw deep. He needs to stop trying to make him something that he's not and call plays to his strengths. Of course it helps Kelce playing well. That's made all the difference as it's allowed them to get the receivers going and kept the heat off the RBs. Even though they're keeping the passes short it's all over the field which has opened things up enough.

It also helps that the Pats offense is just futile. Chiefs defense isn't even playing that well and it's still more than enough. Pats desperately need a real #1 receiver.

so far this is looking about how I expected.

I doubt the Jets would be doing much better although Brady not scooting for the 1st down is a WTF moment, as in WTF was he thinking trying to force a throw vs a sure 1st down and losing badly needed momentum.

and in KC I'd have picked KC in that game just as I did for tonights.

Yea, I'll have to give props to Smith, his passes have been very accurate and he's had 2 dropped as well, nice to have a back like Charles playing though, he can catch the ball or turn the corner and burn you that way, if the Pat's don't come out and score after halftime it's a done deal as their defense is already confused and have been out there for much of the 1st half.

Yea, tough place to play with 140db crowd noise and 2 rookie O-lineman playing. I still think BB would have been better off going for it on 4th and 2, if your defense can't stop KC what have you got to lose?

He's playing great tonight and I think gameplan is a big reason why. Keep him focused on 5-10 yards and he plays a lot better (frankly as any NFL QB should). That's what served him well with the 49ers and Reid absolutely should know that. I still think Reid thinks he can reboot Smith into being the QB he was supposed to be when he was drafted, and I think that's very stupid. Smith is a known commodity he should be playing to his strength instead of trying to force this other stuff.

I can't imagine how loud it was in the 90s and early 2000s. It was absolutely much much louder back then. People acting like Arrowhead is anywhere close to how it was between 92-2005 don't know what they're talking about. It's not even close. Couple that with the headsets and the crowd advantage is way overblown these days.

Holy cow... What a cluster fuck

I've been watching the Patriots since 1973 and this is the absolute worst I've ever seen, what's puzzling is they had 4-5 season-ending injuries last year and still made it to the AFC championship game where the better team won, now with everybody back they put up a stink-bomb like this?, fuck it, time for a klonopin to blast away this horrific memory LOL..
