Shady is hurt. Looks like high ankle sprain? Maybe we're lucky and it's a cramp. If it's serious, this could be a rough season.

Eagles are going to need big plays from the defense and a solid performance by Vick to have a chance. The Chiefs aren't going to respect the run if Shady is out and Vick is already getting destroyed. I don't see a win happening.

I'm assuming Shady is out for the rest of the game at least. Bryce Brown can make some plays and get good yardage, but he had a serious fumbling problem in the past. Hopefully he's worked that out and Vick can make some plays. Defense has played okay, but I think they've been helped a lot by a weak Chiefs offense.

3 and out. Eagles can't sustain a drive right now. So many sloppy errors. Short week might have messed with them.

IMO The Eagles defense have defended themselves in their own right based on how many turnovers the offense have handed the Chiefs. The chiefs only have 9 points on offense so far.

The Thursday night games are terrible football thus far.

Thursday nite games are a shitty idea right from the start, your asking teams to physically recover from the previous Sunday's game in 3 days and most of the games are low-scoring, low-quality affairs.

I completely agree. The only reason I'm suffering through watching this is because the Chiefs are playing.

Game over. Eagles will be 1-3 after next week (Broncos). I knew they wouldn't be great this year, but the first half of the Redskins game gave me hope.

Something to keep in mind: it would be 23-20 if the Eagles took the PAT earlier and Henery made that FG. At least 23-17 with just the PAT.

Shit, might've spoken too soon.

LOL its not over yet. The chiefs have a knack of finding ways to lose.

I don't see it happening. Defense is keeping the Eagles in check well enough. I think the Chiefs' defense is a good matchup for that type of offense though so I'm not too surprised at what's happening. Chiefs' D just matches up well against it.

Smith would actually make a good "reliever" QB.

And as expected the Smith fans have shown up in force on Chiefs' boards after the first two games. He's exactly what the people that don't like him said he'd be. This is weird, its like the Herm days again, only they're winning, but damn does the offense look ugly and pathetic. Did Reid set out to ruin Charle's chance at being a historic back? He's found a way to make an ok line and a great RB look mediocre as shit. Oh, right, Alex Smith...
