skins close out another disappointing season against the eagles. not sure who to root for giants vs cowgirls, i want both to lose!!

Can anyone identify which games have significant playoff consequences, like two teams playing each other for a spot?

TIA

Giants vs Cowboys is the only such game. Whoever wins it wins the NFC East and gets into the playoffs and the loser goes home.

A couple other games are important for seeding but that's it.

Bengals need to win against Ravens to get into playoffs (wildcard).

Win and they're in, but they can actually lose and still get in. But for that to happen:

The Dolphins must beat the Jets, AND
Either the Chiefs or the Raiders must win.

Pretty unlikely.

Seeding is also important. 49ers clinch a first round bye with a win over the gutless Rams or with a Saints loss to the Panthers. The Ravens can get the bye if they win or if the Steelers lose.

Even the Jets and Titans can make it, but they need help, and lots of it.

Yeah, Giants/Cowboys is the only "win and you're in" game. There are other games where one team can win to get in without needing help (Broncos/Chiefs, Ravens/Bengals), but that's the only one where only the winner gets a playoff spot.

Colts have to lose to Jacksonville or the Rams have to beat the 49ers for the Colts to win the Luck sweepstakes.

I see the the bills are showing league how to beat the pats. Just pass the ball.

Bellichick is gonna being fuming in that locker room....

Wow, Bills Fitzpatrick having a career day, 21-0 1st qtr. 47yd PI call helps, I swear the NFL is becoming more like the NBA where a receiver can just slow abruptly, allow the DB to run into him, BAM! 47 yards, no wonder 3 people could wind up breaking Marino's record this year..

Yep. Or trip yourself up, windmill your arms, and MAGIC! A ball 10 feet over your head becomes pass interference.

That type of contact should be 5yds/1st down, not 47yds first down, that call should be reserved if a receiver gets clearly held or tackled before the ball gets there..

This is reminding me a lot of the playoff game two years ago against the Ravens. First quarter, Patriots are playing into the sunlight, can't move anywhere, give up a ton of points, and then liven up once the sunlight goes lower. Of course, the Ravens were good enough to keep the Patriots in check after the sun went lower, the Bills... well, let's see.
