I am sooo psyched about our DEs. JPP is playing very well so far. It's too bad Kiwanuka is out for the season. I could just picture those 4 DE rushes again like we had back in 07-08.

I like the D line too, but let's be real here. The D line disappeared for a few weeks this year, and JPP had two good weeks. Nobody (aside from G fans) ever heard of him before that. I would relax a little bit.

The Colts have more key injuries. Powers, Sessions, Gonzalez, Clark, Addai, Collie, and Sanders are all starters and Bullitt is their #1 backup at safety and Silva was their #2 backup at safety. Moore was their starting punt/kick returner. Not to mention that Brown, Hart, Garcon, Lacy, Brackett, and a few members of the OL have been going in and out of the lineup with various injuries.

Looks like there's a decent chance the Falcons will come out of the weekend as the only 11 win team. The Pats are good but they do have to go into Chicago who are no pushovers whereas the Falcons go into Carolina who are complete pushovers this year. God I hope they don't go in too cocky.

This is debatable.
What Sentrosi2121's list doesn't show is that we also started the season without Al Harris or Bigby, two stand-out coverage men.

Toss in the loss of Grant, or only glimmer of a running game, and Finley, arguably the best and brightest sophomore in the game. We basically lost Driver for 2 games too.

The killer to the Colts is a lof of yours are season enders. That's teh killer. Packers have lost guys, but then get them back... only to lose somebody else.

Grant and Finley though were the ultimate killers. Ugh. So early on too.

Homerboy, Colts lost their first and second running back. They have zero run game. Throw in lack of receivers that change every week and banged up defense with non existent secondary and the injuries are devastating. Even freeney and mathis didn't touch the QB kitna in the Dallas game. I don't remember them ever even touching him.

All a defense has to do is sit on receivers and maybe send 4 to peyton. 7 DBs > 4/5 receivers

That's why fans are upset with manning, he's trying to force balls/plays that just aren't there. He's used to those options being there for him, but they're not, and he's throwing anway. No team can be one dimensional and expect to win.

They've lost their first, second, and third running backs at various times this season.

Throw in lack of receivers that change every week and banged up defense with non existent secondary and the injuries are devastating.

Collie was leading the NFL in receiving when he went out the first time, and Garcon has been in and out as well. And that isn't even considering the devastating loss of Clark. Wayne has been the only constant, but I noticed he missed practice today because of a knee injury. I hope to god it isn't serious.

Steelers injuries are a bit ugly, Miller is questionable for Sunday, hopefully just precautionary and not reactionary. And both lines, especially O, have seen a lot of men down. Haven't seen or heard anything more on Roethlisberger's nose/foot or Flozell's ankle though.

I could still see them going 4-0 the rest of the season though, as long as they don't relax on the Jets/Browns/Bengals, which would put them in great position for the off season, especially since 2 or 3 of the Pats remaining games should be pretty hard fought depending how the Bills play.

fat albert suspended for rest of season by skins http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5895357

F that dude. This quote explains it all:

In a radio interview Monday, Haynesworth blamed the report on "haters" who don't like him, said he was too upset to meet with Shanahan on Tuesday, and again proclaimed he could be the greatest ever if he could play the way he wants to play.

He's not a team player at all. I listened to excerpts of that interview, everything was me, me, me, not one mention of the Redskins as a whole.

The only official NFL week x threads are those started by hclarkjr. I could understand making one if it was the Saturday night before, but for godsakes it's only Tuesday. In conclusion, op is a douchebag.

LOL, I love when Cowboys fans say this. Be my guest, trade Romo and start Kitna.

Romo gives up too easy, has been a disaster since day one and cannot lead the team because he is a 20 something year old newbcheese.

We need a man with a plan. We need Kitna.

In news that I am sure will SHOCK everyone, Bob Sanders has been officially placed on the season-ending IR list. Shocked, I tell you, shocked!!!

In other news, to add to the growing list of injuries, both starting Colts CBs will be out against Tennessee. Unbelievable.

Minnesota and Favre are still delusional about his status. He needs to be benched, I can't believe they are even considering letting him play!

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Ah7dmbYzXoUJjKHad8IUw7FDubYF?slug=ap-vikings-favresshoulder
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP)—Brett Favre’s sprained throwing shoulder is making it difficult for him to put on a shirt or pull on his socks, so the 41-year-old is going to wait a few days before he decides about playing against the New York Giants on Sunday.

Favre said Wednesday he is unsure if he will be able to extend his NFL record for consecutive games started against the Giants. The Vikings quarterback hopes a few more days of rest will provide some clarity for him to make a decision by Friday, but interim coach Leslie Frazier said he wouldn’t be surprised if it goes right up until game time.

He has started 297 straight regular season games, a record he cherishes more than any other he has achieved over the past 20 seasons. But if that mark ends on Sunday, Favre insisted he is fine with that. “It really hasn’t crossed my mind this week that I’ve got to get out there to keep the streak going,” Favre said. “I think the most important streak right now is we’ve won two in a row.”

Favre did not practice Wednesday and said it was unlikely that he would get much work in this week. He’s played through numerous injuries throughout his career to keep the remarkable streak going, a reputation for toughness that has Frazier thinking that he’ll be ready to go again this week. “Brett Favre is so, so unique when it comes to recovering from injuries,” Frazier said. “I’m optimistic that he will be out there playing on Sunday.”

In what he says is his final season, Favre has only reinforced his iron man reputation. He is playing on a left foot that has two broken bones and has also played through tendinitis in his throwing elbow and injuries to his calf, neck, back and chin.

Still, he’s thrown a league-high 18 interceptions and his 69.6 quarterback rating ranks 29th in the league, ahead of only Derek Anderson and Jimmy Clausen.....
The guy is all kinds of beat up, and one of the worst (stats wise) QB's in the league right now.

[stupid coach]Hmmm, geez guys, let's hope he can start for us on Sunday. We'll let him make the decision.[/stupid coach]

The Colts are pissing me off. A friend just told me that he heard that Melvin Bullitt is about ready to come back and would definitely be ready for the playoffs had the Colts not IRed him. Instead, they keep Mr. Glass (Bob Sanders) around through the first 13 weeks and THEN decide to IR him. DAMN IT.
