Does anyone know if Belichick addressed that in the post-game interview? Though I was rooting for the Jets, I also was baffled by the apparent lack of urgency shown by the Pats.

With 8 minutes left and down 10, the Pats were running it on nearly every play as you guys mentioned. They showed Belichick on the sideline screaming and you could clearly read his lips -- he was screaming "Throw it!!"

And then you had the idiot announcer (Phil Simms) saying they had plenty of time and running it repeatedly was a good idea. Phil must have failed math, but with 8 minutes left, down 10, and in your own territory, you need to score within 2 or 3 minutes to take some pressure off your D and set yourself up with a potentially game winning/tying drive. If you score and give the ball back to the Jets with 5 minutes left, you would have plenty of buffer time in case they got a first down (or maybe even two).

Sore winner? Boston area fans once again proving why they're the worst fans in the country. Only Patriot fans are allowed to celebrate after wins, if anyone else does they're now a sore winner, which sounds like something a sore loser would come up with.

Oh, and maybe Branch should of showed some class instead of talking trash when his team was down by 10 in the 4th quarter.

When did I not allow them to celebrate? Both teams talk trash...whether they are up or down. SOme do it publicly, some do it on the field. If you call giving Pat's fan the middle finger after a win respectable, then I guess that is you.

I think Brady is going deaf then....because the whole stadium was pretty much yelling the same thing 😛. Maybe those erotic nights with Gisele are too loud....

Many other NFL teams have had to endure Pats fans flooding their team forums with insults and trash the last several years and I can tell you, many people dislike the Pats for that very reason. Even today, if the Colts lose, you will inevitably find posters with names like "BelichickROCKZ" or "BradyRulez!" coming in to say "Colts suck, LOL!" and stuff like that.

When the Pats lost SB42, I went to the Boston Globe (IIRC) forums and it was open season on the Pats and there were dozens of posters from all over the NFL enjoying the opportunity to rub salt in the wound. I have to admit, I enjoyed every second of it. If any other team would have lost, I wouldn't have cared. Had I not observed the same behavior on my Indy Colts forums for several years before that, I wouldn't have cared either.

Jets fans certainly seem to be classless and jerks, but Pats fans are hardly innocent lambs being slaughtered.

Boston and New York both suck. Seriously. You have the absolute douchiest, most obnoxious fans in the entire country and the sports media can't ever stop talking about the rivalry whenever there's an upcoming game in the next two weeks.

The Stealers are annoying as well but I think I'll root for them to beat the Jest, and then hope they lose to the Bears or Packers.

I agree, but man, those fans were throwing beer at other people. It's like, WTF? I really do not care for the Pats suck chants. Do not care. It's the starting fights that really had me going WTF. Really, I went to Yankee Stadium, I did not egg on a single person. I am not dumb. I want to make it out of that place alive.

LOL, funny you should mention that. My wife and I went on vacation to Tampa in 2008, and it just so happened that the Yankees were in town playing the Rays so we decided to go to the game. Sure enough, a drunk Yankees fan was screaming, cursing, and calling all the Rays fans name. Security finally had to physically remove him from the stadium.

You guys are overrating the Steelers. Sure, they might win, but I don't think it is going to be as easy as you think. If they get pressure on Sanchez and keep it up, the Jets are done. Even with no pressure, Sanchez was horrible for 1+ quarters in the game yesterday. Had he been a competent QB, the Pats would've lost by much more.

No one will beat the Packers if the Packers play like they did against Atlanta. That was the most dominating performance I've seen all year, far more so than the Pats embarrassing the Jets. Weird things have happened this season, so who knows what will happen. All I know is that I hate the Pats, hate the Steelers, and dislike Jets fans, so the AFC sucks this year in the playoffs.

Oh, and LOL at the Jets and Pats fans going at it. Jets fans should probably limit their trash talk until they actually win something worthwhile, like a Super Bowl. Their trash talk after the Colts game was especially humorous.
I don't think it's going to be easy. The Jets are going to take Pitt's passing game away, the OL is banged up and their rushing game pretty much sucks. On the other side I think Pittsburgh's defense will be in Sanchez' face all game, and he's more mistake prone than Ben. So with both offenses stuffed, I think it will come down to which offense turns the ball over less, and I hope it will be the Steelers.

I have to say I loved that welker had a pretty MEH game, and was talking trash enough to get benched for part of it

Ryan Grant is starting to talk trash, pretty balsy for a guy that hasnt played since week one

A lot of "fans" are fair-weather POS assholes IMO, yep, the Pats stunk out their own joint but to boo a coach and QB who have delivered 3 bowls is classless, like happened in Gillette yesterday and happened to Mariano Rivera in 2004 after he finally blew a couple of key saves to the Sox, geez, that man closed out how many huge games that enabled Yankees to win the WS several times. Some of us were fans when the Pats were lucky to even contend for a playoff spot and that was rare..
