I was 0/2 Saturday and 2/2 Sunday so here goes:
Pittsburgh over Baltimore
Green Bay over Atlanta

Seattle over Chicago
New England over New York

The only pick I don't feel good about there is the Seattle one but I really want to see it happen. :awe:

Bah, Indy screwed me last week; got the 3 other games right.

Opening lines so far:

Baltimore (5). @ Pittsburgh(2) Sat 4:30PM EST - Steelers -3
Green Bay (5) @ Atlanta (1) Sat 8PM EST - Falcons -2

Seattle (4) @ Chicago (2) Sun 1:00PM EST - Bears -10
Jets (6) @ New England (1) Sun 4:30PM EST - Patriots -8.5

Based on those lines I'm thinking:

Steelers
Packers
Seahawks
Jets (9 points is a lot)

:hmm:

LOL! Seattle has the same 10 point line they did against saints! Setting up another epic upset.

What was the pay off for that game if you took Seattle straight?

Oakland was the first Wildcard team to win the SuperBowl.

Maybe SeaHawks can duplicate such a feat as a sub .500 team to make it to the SuperBowl

Ryan disses Brady again:

Ryan on Brady: 'Manning would have been watching'

Jets coach Rex Ryan has been making bold predictions and brash statements about his team since the cameras began rolling for "Hard Knocks" during training camp.

And with New York having defeated Peyton Manning and the Colts Saturday night to advance to a matchup with the Patriots in the AFC Divisional Playoffs, he isn't about to worry about putting his foot in his mouth now -- even if it means dissing Tom Brady. Again.

When asked during his press conference this morning at the Jets' facility about what he thought of the Patriots quarterback attending the Broadway play "Lombardi" while the Jets were in the midst of their 17-16 victory over the Colts, Ryan didn't disappoint in his response:

"Peyton Manning would have been watching our game."

Today's comment wasn't exactly a vicious cheap shot, but it is somewhat curious considering that Brady and the Patriots clobbered the Jets, 45-3, in the teams' last meeting on Dec. 6. Not to mention that taking jabs at Brady while ostensibly praising Manning is becoming something of a habit for Ryan. Last week, he said Brady only "thinks" he studies as much as Manning, instead steering the credit for the Patriots' success toward coach Bill Belichick.

"There's nobody like this guy in the league," Ryan said last week about Manning. "Nobody studies like him and all that. I know Brady thinks he does and all that stuff, but I think there's a little more help from Belichick with Brady than there is with Peyton Manning. I mean, Tom Moore has done a great job with him forever, [Jim] Caldwell and Tony Dungy, but it's Peyton Manning. That's who it is."

During his weekly appearance on WEEI's "Dennis and Callahan Show" this morning, Brady brushed off Ryan's previous comment as inconsequential, though it's fair to presume he won't forget it given his legendary competitiveness.

"I’ve heard…yeah, that was…everyone is entitled to their opinion," Brady said. "Maybe he’s right. He’s a good coach, so I’ll just keep getting ready like we’ve done all year and get ready for Sunday night. It's an exciting week for us, I think everyone is in [preparation] mode, it will be a tough game. I'm excited to play the Jets again."

According to Ryan, the feeling is mutual.

"I told Belichick after the [45-3 loss], 'We'll see you in Round 3,' " he said during today's press conference. "He just looked at me."

Ryan's a douche, I hope he gets his gigantic ass handed to him by the Pats.

I’m interested to see what peter king has to say about this week’s matchups. Going into the final regular season game he thought 3 if not 4 of the road teams in the first round would be favored and would not be surprised to also see the same number win.
*
Three were favored and three did win (incidentally the three of each grouping were not the same teams).
*
The AFC has been the better performing of the two throughout the season and 4 of the top 5 teams consistently ranked as such are also the 4 remaining AFC squads. Each AFC matchup this week is also a third time around and I’d not be willing to claim more than a coin flip for either one.
*
The pack and falcons are probably also going to be a coin flip game and unless god decides to intervene a second week in a row, the seachickens should get nicely spanked. Whether that spanking is able to cover a 10 point margin though, would not be where I’d drop dollars on.

I'm trying to imagine what Fat Ryan will say at that point.

Also, maybe Fireman Ed will kill himself.

I understand what Rex is trying to do, but I'm not sure how successful he will be. His dad used similar (although even more ridiculous) tactics, and they didn't work for him either.

My picks, just to be a little different:

Steelers, Falcons, Seahawks, Pats

As bad as these Seahawks played all season, I think the Bears have it in them to play even sloppier than the Saints did last weekend. Definitely don't think the 10 point line is deserved.

Seattle did beat Chicago in Week #5 (23-20), so that will be an extra nudge for the Seahawks.

Will Chicago play against the Seahawks as a team that beat the Saints or a team that backed into their division with a losing record?

Seriously? It sounds like one of those "virtual sex with <pr0nstar name>" videos. You control Ed, you control the audio, you control the ending. Lulz.

Maybe someone can make a "virtual footsie with Rex Ryan" app. Give it all sorts of fun quotes. After you finish you can go get a goddamn snack.

I'm glad the aints lost. Hurricane Katrina was like 10 years ago now. No one cares anymore. If I had to suffer through another year of New Orleans related NFL commercials I'd probably off myself.

I can't put into words how irritating that Brees commercial is where they have everyone wearing Drew Brees shirts and singing how they all have personality...NO YOU DON'T, wearing the same f'ing shirt with inane plays on the word "breese" don't make you important, smart or unique. Morons. I like the Saints but I'm glad they got bumped just for that alone.

To be fair, that's an ad agency and the NFL who made that ad, and those people are actors, not necessarily Saints fans or even football fans at all. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Saints fans have gotten sick of all the extra attention, even going above that of another Super Bowl-winning team due to the whole Katrina thing.

If I actually saw a kid wearing a "Lil Breesy" jersey I'd want to punch his parents though.

That ad is by far the most annoying, closely followed by the Chevy ad about "Some teams will never make it to the Super Bowl" and something about "Gave hope to an entire city." I'm glad they have hope, because they'll need it after suffering one of the most embarrassing and humiliating playoff defeats in NFL history.
