LOL -- I think Melvin Gordon realized just how ignorant it was to over-value himself and hand wave a cool 10 million per year. Sure, he's probably a top 5 back, but he ain't Zeke, he ain't Bell, he ain't even Gurly. Combine this with the fact that running backs aren't valued anymore. They're just battering rams whom you use to protect your QB.

He was supposed to come back week 8, but he's back week 5.

Once in a while, you'll come across a Bell or a Zeke, but nowadays, it doesn't matter that much. Going are the days of Adrian Peterson -- arriving are the days of protecting and pandering to quarterbacks like they're Gods.

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of his, but I love seeing greedy clowns screw themselves. Know the times, know the market. RB aren't important anymore ... or at least, for the time being.

I feel like the Eagles are playing like the Broncos could have and should have played last Sunday. If the Broncos had an O-line - Garret wasn't holding - and a slightly more effective pass rush, I think it could have been very similar.

So, OP how do you square away Zeke (which, keep in mind, his multiple off the field issues) doing pretty much the same thing then? The only difference is the owners. I don't think its greedy at all. In fact, I find it kinda off that you can't see how the reasons you highlight is exactly why they should be doing this, because they basically have one real shot at a contract that lives up to the beating they put themselves through.

And you're picking the Lions over the Chiefs? Not saying its impossible, but...

I live in Michigan, so I am being a fan!

I think Zeke is way better than Gordon. He's the reason why Dak is a good as he makes the PA game work.

Gordon? Rivers doesn't need Gordon. The Chargers don't need Gordon. I watched that Lions game a couple weeks ago and the backups played well. Aside from shooting themselves in the foot several times, the Chargers should have won that game.

Yes, I agree with you about guys getting their money. But 10 million IS a lot of money, and Gordon just had bad timing and was on the wrong team.

Something tells me the chargers knew that, and called his bluff.

Boy, bout time someone picks the Giants in any game, lol. I really feel like they have turned a new leaf with Jones. I am pretty stoked to see how it plays out...

On the other hand my Utes lost last week which was a pretty big hit but I think we were a tad bit overhyped this year and it's good to get the loss behind us to see where we can really end up.

The Eagles are a good but inconsistent team. Offensively, they are talented. It's the injuries that have really derailed them and even in the two losses, they had a chance to win it. Defensively, the pass rush is not there. This has hurt the secondary which really is the weakness of the defense. And injuries to whatever corners are left is wreaking havoc on an already bad unit.

And can someone buy the entire Eagles team, players and coaches, some new watches. I think something is wrong with theirs. I don't think anyone realizes when game time is cause no one seems to show up until the 2nd quarter.

With that said...wow...Eagles O-line opened up some holes wide enough to drive a truck through. Running game got going with Jordan Howard. Passing game is still a little shaky and really needs DeSean Jackson back.

Eagles defense is sucking. If they don't shape up, the Eagles/Packers game might be how the Eagles need to win every week from here on out. Basically a shootout.

I'm gonna hop on the Minshew train this week. Even if Denver's playing at home. It'll be a shootout in Detroit but KC will stay on top. I think Danny Dimes will come back from orbit and play pretty bad this week, and that Keenum will end up on the 1 and jump over the pile with the ball in front and actually score w/o fumbling (good lord that was terrible). With Teddy running the ship in NO, it'll be pretty meh. It'd be nice to say Hill get more touches or run the offense more. I'm rooting for Dalton purely because I'm streaming him this week. He better put out.

Tennessee Titans at Atlanta Falcons - 2x mediocre teams could actually be a good game.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens - Browns are still a mess ... Ravens win big.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills - Bill's winning this would be amazing .. not likely!

Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions - Hoping for a good game BUT its the Lions.

Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans - Could go either way

Oakland Raiders at Indianapolis Colts - Could go either way.

Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins - Miami isn't as bad as said ... they're worse.

Washington Redskins at New York Giants - I'm a Giants fan. -_-

Seattle Seahawk's at Arizona Cardinals - Seattle SHOULD win....

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams - Rams win going away.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears - Chicago D comes through. (??)

Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos - Even sans Foles Jags are better then Denver.

Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints - Tough call & hopefully a good game.

Interesting things I'm learning from the Chiefs Lions game.

The good: Throwing a punch = good. Waiting for your opponent to get up before throwing a punch = better! (Assuming you aim for the ball. ;))

The bad: Overextending yourself. ;)

The ugly: Hurdling. :(

Did anyone really pick the Giants or did everyone just pick against Washington? BTW, Washington plays Miami in two weeks, circle the date on your calendar. I wonder if it's possible for a game to have negative attendance, a negative TV rating and finish in a 0-0 tie all at the same time.

...and Cousins starting the half on a 1st down fumble. ...Bears D might end up being better than they were last year. and Cousins, it's just straight downhill for this guy...

How bout dem Saints

I picked Dallas but not surprised (or disappointed!) at all ... kind of strange thinking of the Saints in terms of being a defensive power. And I'm not convinced by Teddy Bridgewater every day ... they really need Brees back asap.
