**Official NFL 2015-16 Week 4 'Kaep'-in' Off Q1 Thread**

As indicated in the thread title, Week 4 finishes (or "Kaeps") off the first quarter of the NFL season, starting this Thursday night, and ending next Monday.

Kaep is perhaps the worst starter coming into Week 4 after his just, unfathomable and abysmal performance last week in Week 3. He's clearly regressed since his second NFC championship game in 2013.

IIRC, a Cardinals defensive player even stated they knew what the Niners would do before they did it, summing up how dumbed-down the playbook is for Kaep. Shame.

I'm going to skip the injury report this week and ask for grades on your respective teams, or you can wait till Sunday night.

Lions grade: Z -. Terrible in all facets of the game, nothing to look forward to and somebody needs to be fired. The way Seattle molly-whopped the Bears, the Lions may get a respectable FG and score 3 points. Monday's game will perhaps be the least watched game in MNF history.

Bad game for them, potential 0-5 start. Here's the schedule:

Thurs, OCT 1
Ravens (0-3) @ Steelers (2-1) - 8:25PM CBS/NFL Network

Sunday, OCT 4
Jets (2-1) @ Fins (1-2) 9:30AM CBS (London)
Jags (1-2) @ Colts (1-2) 1:00PM CBS
Giants (1-2) @ Bills (2-1) 1:00PM FOX
Panthers (3-0) @ Bucs (1-2) 1:00PM FOX
Eagles (1-2) @ Skins (1-2) 1:00PM FOX
Raiders (2-1) @ Bears (0-3) 1:00 CBS
Texans (1-2) @ Falcons (3-0) 1:00PM CBS
Chiefs (1-2) @ Bengals (3-0) 1:00PM CBS
Browns (1-2) @ Chargers (1-2) 4:05PM CBS
Packers (3-0) @ Niners (1-2) (lol) 4:25PM FOX
RAMS (1-2) @ Cards (3-0) 4:25PM FOX (upset pick, need one every week)
Vikings (2-1) @ Broncos (3-0) 4:25PM FOX

SNF
Boys (2-1) @ Saints (0-3) 8:30PM NBC (This was a tough pick, because Brees may play, but the Cowboys look BAD with Weeden).

Mon, OCT 5
Lions (0-3) @ Seahawks (1-2) 8:30 ESPN (Home team or not, I cannot logically pick the Lions -- Barring some sort of divine intervention, they're gonna get smoked)

As normal, let me know of any errors.

you should list the teams that are on bye.

also that Packers 49ers game is going to be like Tecmo Bowl.

Holy shit that was a horrible article. If that was an "average" performance then there's about...oh every single team outside of maybe the Patriots that would gladly take that "average" performance.

The concept they're trying to promote seems extremely nit picky. Basically in order to grade a QB "great", every TD throw they make has to be them making the play? What about the times when the QB makes those quick, short passes because he knows Cobb is matched up on a LB and will easily escape him into the endzone?

You seriously picked the dolphins over the jets? After the thrashing they had against Buffalo?

Geno Smith might be back so it's not that much of a stretch to think the Jests may regress to their normal level of mediocrity.

Oh heh... if Geno's back, then I'll spot some ref's penalty flag a 28 point win over the Jets.

What if it's an "easy" throw that was made after a frantic scramble after a pass block failed an assignment. Is that still a deduction since it was an "easy" throw?

Noodle-armed Fitz is bound to come crashing back to earth, and Suh is due for his breakout game.

And Buffalo, IMO, is a better team than the Jets.

I spotted an error; you expected the Rams to win on the road in Arizona. That's clearly some sort of typo.

Picks:
Ravens (0-3) @ Steelers (2-1)
Jets (2-1) @ Fins (1-2)
Jags (1-2) @ Colts (1-2)
Giants (1-2) @ Bills (2-1)
Panthers (3-0) @ Bucs (1-2)

Browns (1-2) @ Chargers (1-2)
Packers (3-0) @ Niners (1-2)
Rams (1-2) @ Cards (3-0)
Vikings (2-1) @ Broncos (3-0)
Cowboys (2-1) @ Saints (0-3)
Lions (0-3) @ Seahawks (1-2)

Injuries are making this a strange week for picks. Normally I'd have the Steelers and Cowboys in a walk, but with the injuries? I dunno.

If your metric doesn't measure up to observable reality, clearly it's reality that is wrong.

I'd give the Colts a solid F so far. No excuse for losing to the Jets and Bills and barely surviving the Titans. "But ICF," you say, "they're having major offensive line issues and protection is dropping even faster than Colin Kaepernick can throw pick sixes!" Yes, but still no excuse - our moronic GM knew this would happen but channeled his inner Matt Millen and drafted a WR in the first round and only signed one free agent OL, Herremans, who isn't looking good.

HAHA - and people wonder why the Lions are garbage this year.

Caldwell refuses to take over play-calling, in effect, saying its not an issue because he said its only execution.

Not according to Golden Tate:

I’ve had a couple occasions in literally each game, where they called out our play for one, then afterwards been like “hey, we knew what you guys were doing”. I don’t know how they know or what film they’re watching that we’re giving away…that’s something we got to go back and watch our tendencies to figure out where we line up or how we line up or what formation or whatever it may be

http://thebiglead.com/2015/09/29/go...lled-out-lions-plays-in-every-game-this-year/

This is shameful. Caldwell needs to take over play-calling, or keep hitching his wagon to Lombardi and end up job hunting.

That was my upset pick, brother!

Suh is still too busy counting his money to show up. I heard he had to restart his count again... he keeps getting fined so the amount keeps changing.

My Picks.

How big of a favorite are the Packers this week? If they were 30+ I wouldn't be surprised 🙁

Just a reminder:

There is NO WAY in heck do I think the Rams have a shot at beating the Cards, but by way of needed an upset pick, I picked them.

OTOH, I think Jupiter has a better chance at becoming a habitable planet than the Niners have at beating Rodgers.

The game is in SC so theres always the possibility of some Nortenos shanking the entire Packers team and coaching staff.
