I just don't see the Cowboys losing to the Saints, they still put up 28 points with the key injuries. I don't expect to see the Saints hang near as many points on us as Atlanta.

Without Brees, they won't hang. I see the Cowboys continuing to keep pounding the ball and getting a decent lead. The Saint's won't be able to put up the quick points like ATL did.

Niners suck 🙁

The local radio station has been lampooning their new HC since his first interview where he thanks Raul on the boys for their Mexican feast and Joan in payroll for her financial advice.

"All of this is part of why I'm so proud to be a part of this and what's built. Joan in payroll. She's not only in payroll, Joan's my financial advisor. Joan's making sure I've got enough money in my 401K. You go on and on and on. Vilma at the front desk. You've got all of these wonderful people in the building. The boys downstairs making that great Mexican feast at Christmas. There's a whole lot that goes on inside this building that nobody knows about."

How much does Flacco get paid? Can't even read a defense to know that he's going to get blitzed on his left side and doesn't know how to secure a ball when running.

You know, Mike Vick doesn't look that bad. If wasn't certain to be injured in the first 8 games of a season, he could probably get a decent role as a vet on one of the garbage teams. Though, the offense is really simple and he isn't having to make a lot of decisions.

ravens either made that look much harder than it should have been, or they are gonna be just plain bad this year.

Vick didn't look bad, but he did exactly what makes him a second tier QB -- miss an open WR.

Canon of an arm, lacking touch and accuracy. I used to play Madden a lot back in the day, and this is he reason why I never picked the Falcons.

As indicated in the thread title, Week 4 finishes (or "Kaeps") off the first quarter of the NFL season, starting this Thursday night, and ending next Monday.

Kaep is perhaps the worst starter coming into Week 4 after his just, unfathomable and abysmal performance last week in Week 3. He's clearly regressed since his second NFC championship game in 2013.

IIRC, a Cardinals defensive player even stated they knew what the Niners would do before they did it, summing up how dumbed-down the playbook is for Kaep. Shame.

I don't think it's so much Kaepernick regressing as it is he's not progressing. First year or two, maybe teams don't have all of the tapes on your tendencies and deficiencies. By the time they have at least one season, and definitely two seasons, worth of tape on you, you better cover your flaws because they will find it and they will exploit it.

The Niners defense in prior years have also covered for any mistakes Kaepernick made but this is not the case this year. The Niners defense is average.

Boil it down, stir it in the pot, and you got a mediocre Niners team.

omg.. steelers kicker,,
coach lost confidence in him after missing 2 field goals that he opted to go for 4th and 7 vs a 40yd fg?!

oh how I don't want to be in that kickers shoes after his team lost by a fg.

Yep you know they are shopping for a new kicker right now.

This is why I always scratch my head at some teams. You pay a QB a pile of money but many times its kickers in the last minutes or even seconds that decide many games and you go cheap. I think most are paid league minimum and once you hit higher Vet status they cut them and get an new one.

To be fair Suisham (the first string kicker) has been extremely accurate over the last few seasons after a slightly shaky start in PIT iirc. He got hurt pre-season, then the backup to replace him got hurt and now Scobee is the third string essentially. It's not like they're skimping on them on purpose, there are just only so many to go around lol.

I'm surprised as anyone that the Saints are favored in this game even if Drew Brees plays. Our only saving grace is if Byrd & Lewis come back strong with a big contribution from CJ Spiller on offense. Weeden is going to have all damn day in the pocket, he might as well pitch a tent and fire up the BBQ pit in there.

Wheedon might not even have to throw much if our O line performs half as good as good as I expect vs. Saint's D line. They looked terrible in the game I saw. Brees has been upgraded to probable, he was doubtful when I posted that. Obviously him being in the game will change things but I'm reading if he plays he'll still be knicked up.

The upside for you guys is if you can shut down the run it might force Wheedon to make bad decisions, which he's prone to do even with man defense on the WRs.

I think the majority of the plays will be Weedon friendly, especially on passing downs. After last week, it is apparent they don't trust him to air it out. A bunch of dump plays and quick, safe routes are likely to be the majority of the play book. If the Saints manage to shut down the run, I don't see Dallas getting a ton of points, and that is going to hurt their chances.

The Dolphins gave up. Don't want to tackle, don't want to play. I'm calling it. Season's done.

other than one drive where they got a couple penalties on offense, it's been three and out so far the entire game, at some point the D starts getting fatigued.

it is funny though that the team expected to be closest to challenging for lead of the division looks like a solid contender for fourth.
