That new Prius is horrible. Simply horrible. I can't imagine a car looking much gheyer than that.
Is it me or do those wheels look undersized for the car?
Are the idiots at Toyota trying to kill all hope of bringing hybrid powertrains to the mainstream market? Who the hell is going to buy that POS? At least Honda had enough sense to turn their bread and butter Civic into a hybrid.Originally posted by: NFS4

Ughh... I hoped that Toyota would unveil the "Prius" as nothing more than a Corolla + electric motor.
The current Solara still looks pretty nice. Its been on the market since, when '99? I'm surprised to see Toyota redesign it so quickly.Originally posted by: NFS4

Well, Toyota SERIOUSLY f*&ked the Prius in the a$$ with an Aztek-shaped dildo. Let's hope that they don't do the same to the '04 Solara Coupe which will be unveiled tomorrow.

Eh, I see heavy design influence from their Endeavor and Outlander SUVs. The overall shape certainly reminds me of an Altima, but the details (headlamp and overall fascia design) look different.
Solara will be equipped with either a V6 or four-cylinder engine. The Solara?s all-new 3.3-liter V6 will generate 225 horsepower at 5,600 RPM, an increase of 27 horsepower, and 240 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,600 RPM, 28 more lb.-ft. of torque than the current model. With both engines, Solara will be EPA-certified as an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV). Solaras equipped with the V6 will be mated to an all-new five-speed automatic sequential transmission.

Yeesh, that Solara is not great. Front looks nice, but the crease in the side looks like something off the last-gen Hyundai Tiburon. And the rear... :frown:
I agree, the current version looks better than that.

Well, to their credit, the crease was in the previous generation Solara as well.
I've lost almost all hope in Toyota's stylists after the Prius, Echo, and this new Solara. BOO!!!!!!!!!! What happened to tastefully bland?? This shockingly grotesque stuff has GOT to go.

More pics of the Armada, with interior shot
I link the interior of the Armada. It looks nice, and it has the shifter on the floor rather than on the steering column (I hate that personally). Also the article says that the Armada has 14 cupholders! Its truly made for Americans...hehe.
