That new Prius is horrible. Simply horrible. I can't imagine a car looking much gheyer than that.

Is it me or do those wheels look undersized for the car?

Are the idiots at Toyota trying to kill all hope of bringing hybrid powertrains to the mainstream market? Who the hell is going to buy that POS? At least Honda had enough sense to turn their bread and butter Civic into a hybrid.

Ughh... I hoped that Toyota would unveil the "Prius" as nothing more than a Corolla + electric motor.

Are the idiots at Toyota trying to kill all hope of bringing hybrid powertrains to the mainstream market? Who the hell is going to buy that POS? At least Honda had enough sense to turn their bread and butter Civic into a hybrid.

Ughh... I hoped that Toyota would unveil the "Prius" as nothing more than a Corolla + electric motor.

Last gen Camry sedan was introduced in '97, redone in '02
Solara Coupe was introduced in '99, redone for '04

5-year cycles, right on track

The Galant looks TOO much like the Altima. I mean, look at the bottom front air damn and the foglamps!!! Total Altima 3.5SE rip as is the overall shape!!:|:|

Eh, I see heavy design influence from their Endeavor and Outlander SUVs. The overall shape certainly reminds me of an Altima, but the details (headlamp and overall fascia design) look different.

With both engines, Solara will be EPA-certified as an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV). Solaras equipped with the V6 will be mated to an all-new five-speed automatic sequential transmission.

That mofo looks AGGRESSIVE...especially up front. Back end looks like BLAH!:| Like a mini SC430

Maybe it'll grow on me...

The Altima still looks much better. It has more cleaner, smooth flowing lines. Are there any pics on the new Galant's interior?

I had high hopes for that Solara. They have been squashed. I like teh current version better!

Yeesh, that Solara is not great. Front looks nice, but the crease in the side looks like something off the last-gen Hyundai Tiburon. And the rear... :frown:

Well, the front end of the Malibu Maxx looks like crap IMO, and the rear juts out weirdly.

The Armada actually looks pretty good, don't know if that big chrome plate in the front will make it to production (seems a little too easy to damage) but the bulging hood is much less pronounced than the concept sketch.

Well, to their credit, the crease was in the previous generation Solara as well.

I've lost almost all hope in Toyota's stylists after the Prius, Echo, and this new Solara. BOO!!!!!!!!!! What happened to tastefully bland?? This shockingly grotesque stuff has GOT to go.

Well I think the new Prius is a nice car. Apart from that, all of Toyota's other cars look ugly. Its like they have a fetish with seeing how far the headlights can go until they touch the A-pillar (Nissan seems to be in this game as well :|).

Maybe since Toyota gave the Matrix to GM, so in return GM gave them their designers.

I link the interior of the Armada. It looks nice, and it has the shifter on the floor rather than on the steering column (I hate that personally). Also the article says that the Armada has 14 cupholders! Its truly made for Americans...hehe.
