**Official** New York Auto Show Thread

That Lancer wagon is not attractive, the rear overhang is very long and way too boxy.

The Galant's grille looks almost exactly like an '04 Maxima's (this is not a good thing).

The Diamante looks boringly bad.

Edit: am I in a bad mood this morning? 😛 At least there are some additional pictures of the 300C, now that's a bold design. The rear looks better than the 300M's IMO.

TL Concept is up! Not loving that character line... looks like a big gouge down the side.

Other than that, typical Acura design. Nice-looking, but not terribly exciting.

it's funny how concept drawing are made to look awesome, but the full product even if made like the drawing looks like butt

... debating whether or not to go... HMMMMMM. Who wants to shove me off this fence either way ?

TL = Big TSX front end + VW Phaeton from the doors back.

It is the 300N. 300C is just the concept name.

I mean, the 300N totally r@pes the TL in styling. And considering that the 300M and TL compete, the 300N and the new TL should do the same. 260HP FWD vs 345HP/375lb-ft RWD = someone is getting bitch slapped 😀

LOL. And the 300N is going to have a Mercedes transmission and an E-Class rear suspension. 20% of the componentry is Mercedes. I foresee some major butt soreness for the TL, ES300, CTS, LS and the other luxo cruisers.

Are they really going to be able to keep it under $35K with that monster engine, though? Chrysler's other new products like the Crossfire and Pacifica are somewhat overpriced IMO.

Estimated price for the 300N is $30,000. The 300N is replacing the 300M which retails for between $28,000 and $35,000. Considering that much of the engineering for the RWD platform was taken care of by Mercedes and that componenty and electrics are shared, the pricing should be pretty close. Also, the 5.7 liter Hemi is being mass produced since it is shared with the Ram so pricing there shouldn't be too bad.

Let me put it this way, they would be foolish to price it too high as they would leave a HUGE gap between it and the Sebring Sedan.

Hello DODGE! I'm sure Chrysler wouldn't want to leave that $25k-$30k price point open like that...hopefully this is where Dodge comes in. A 'performance'-themed LX without the luxo frills of the 300N.

I just hope they don't call it 'Intrepid'...they need to drop the Iacocca references now...Charger sedan anyone?

Is it certain that they won't offer a V6 version of the 300N, though ? That's what I'm wondering about.

I hope so.

I forgot the show was this week. I'll probably go there later to check it out.

That 300C looks sweet. I can't wait to see it

The 300C uses rear suspension, steering, transmission and electronics from the Mercedes-Benz E-class sedan. It is deliberately big instead of cab-forward trim; is a rear-wheel-drive chassis with an all-wheel-drive option, not cab-forward's front-wheel drive; is powered by a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 instead of a 3.5-liter V-6 engine.

Expect a price around $30,000.

But the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 that replaces the 300M's V-6 has been re-engineered for better performance and fuel efficiency. It is the same Hemi that has been popular in the Dodge Ram pickup truck and it is also slated to power the new Dodge Magnum sport wagon next year.

NO V6!!!!😛

Cool, hadn't seen those other articles yet, just the TCC one. If they can sell the V8 version for $30K, I'll freakin' buy one myself. 😀
