Ok so i just began putting some movies into my instant queue. With the exception of a few movies and a couple series, i think netflix could/should clear up some storage capacity and remove some of the really bad movies that they have on this list.

I like the new interface, for the most part. Lots of clutter that I'll never use, but when you press the Xbox Guide button, you have tons of options for changing things. So you can, say, change any of your settings or access the full marketplace without having to back out of a game. That's nice. Plus it just looks better and seems more responsive.

I'll probably sign up for the lowest-end Netflix subscription and see how it works. Should be fun. Last night I tried PlayOn and didn't like it at all, but the NXE interface for Netflix is probably way better.

It was much worse before the Starz content was added. We're talking movies like "Jesus Christ: Vampier Hunter" <- FYI worst movie ever!

So apparently Sony is now blocking all of their movies from Netflix streaming to the Xbox 360. Not any other Netflix-enabled devices, JUST the Xbox.

http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2...om-streaming-to-the-x/

Sometimes I wonder if these people want us to pirate their movies or what. They create so much drama over this stuff and are constantly trying to prevent people from accessing stuff in this way or that way. Given how restrictive a lot of these schemes are, it's no wonder so many people just throw up their hands and download torrents so they don't have to worry about it.

To be honest, unless you already had netflix and want to use it also for the disk service (which is what I do) I don't think it is worth it YET.

What, you mean you don't want to watch this? http://www.netflix.com/Movie/G...r&strkid=948713612_0_0

Storage is cheap, it's the licensing that dictates what's available for streaming.

Really it's even worse than you can imagine. I'm guessing a budget of about $2000 and all the actors were the friends of the director. In my defense I only watched it to see how bad it could get. So bad it was comical.

I agree, I'm using my parents account while I'm at school, but the selection isn't worth the $9/month if you're using it exclusively for the VOD service, although it is getting there.

My avatar. I started out making one that looks like me but after the first step I just started random stuff. The "epic crusader" hair, the scar, the Mickey Mouse gloves, all gravy.

Funny, those titles did work last weekend. I watched some of the Dilbert series (which I also own on DVD) on my 360. Stupid Sony... yeah, Microsoft is their competitors. But technically so is Netflix and so is Roku (both compete with Sony's video rental service), and so is every other computer manufacturer other than Sony. Has LG released that Netflix/Blu-ray hybrid thing they were talking about? LG competes with Sony in the entire consumer electronics market. Any device that you could possibly stream Netflix to (other than a Sony PC) is competing with Sony.

Dumbasses. I might be tempted to stop buying Sony products if I hadn't already stopped buying Sony products years ago (aside from game consoles) because they use their reputation for good quality to charge premium prices for shit quality.

I will be amazed if they are free.

Now that we have avatars, games should start to unlock exclusive clothes, accessories, etc. when you unlock certain achievements. Just like some do now with gamerpics.

I'm just looking forward to the Netflix. How much spaces does a 2 hour HD movie take up on the HD? I really don't want to buy a new HD, but installing games might be nice.

Netflix doesn't install movies to the HDD. If you purchase a HD movie through the Live Video Marketplace, it will take up about 6-8GBs though.

Ah, so it just streams as fast as your connection allows with a small buffer?

Yep. I have a 6MB DSL connection and the quality has been very good so far. I just watched Read Or Die and Ms. Deep's boobs bounced in high quality.

Sweet, I have 6MB DSL as well, and can get about 500kb/sec download. I'll have to test it out tonight.

just tried netflix streaming out which I just made a account to a week ago for blu ray. It's great, I don't play games on Live but this alone will make me renew my Live subscription which I wasn't gonna do when it ends in a couple months. Not seeing the HD movies? Am I missing something?

It means you can stream as many discs as you want to one device simultaneously.
