D'oh. I came in here to recommend this movie. Definitely a hidden gem.

Totally agree. Ok, I watch Castle, because Stana Katic is a fox and I love Nathan Fillion.

A really fresh take on the detective procedural, which is available on Netflix, is "Terriers." It only lasted one season (ten episodes, I think) but it was one of the greatest TV shows I've ever seen.

Couple of good recent movies are now available, including Thor, The Rum Diary and Drive.

Also, if you like action and don't mind subtitles, check out District B13, The Nest, Point Blank, and Elite Squad: The Enemy Within.
Terriers was AWESOME. A great show completely ruined by a stupid title and shitty marketing.

Stuff I've watched in the last few months that I'd highly recommend:

24
Mad Men
Downton Abbey
Firefly
Shaun the Sheep

Just watched Buried. Awesome movie.
Ryan Reynolds plays a truck driver in Iraq that gets kidnapped and buried alive with only a cell phone and the kidnappers telling him they want 5 million or they leave him there. I won't give away anymore of the movie but its definitely worth watching.

Holy shit that was one of the most borning things I've ever attempted to watch. I made it about 15 minutes before I got too annoyed and turned it off.

Yeah the first 30 minutes weren't great. I stopped it then I came back later and finished it. Afterwards I was like damn that was pretty good.

Been watching "The Tudors" for the last week or so. ~38 one hour episodes.

Maybe not historically 100% accurate but interesting and addicting.

Natalie Dormer (Margaery on GOT) is reason enough to watch.

I have been watching the Rocky movies a lot. I never tire of them. I dont watch 5 tho, that ones just plain bad.

Thor was just added I believe. Not the greatest movie in the world but it is entertaining and helps you understand The Avengers a little more if you have watched that without watching Thor.

why don't they have 2011 & 2012 movies that are released for home video? they hardly get anything new

Bumping this because I notice they added Thor.

I don't like it as much as Iron Man 1 or 2, but I do like it more than the other individual Avengers prequels. Entertaining movie at least.

EDIT: I see it was already mentioned. Don't know how I missed that...

Shows like White Collar or The Unusuals (both on Netflix instant) or The Shield or The Wire are well written and unique. I can't stand NCIS, Law and Order, or even House.

White Collar, The Shield and The Wire are easily 10x better than NCIS.

I consider myself an NCIS fan but White Collar is one of the best TV shows.

"The Kiling" season 1 is ultimately worth watching, I think.

I'm not sure what to do now. I want to watch season 2, but I don't want to buy episodes.

Oh man, I was so pissed when FX cancelled "Terriers". You're right, it's an incredibly stupid title and marketing sucked but what a great quirky show. The two lead characters were just awesome and worked so well together. I really liked that show, a lot.

Bastard TV execs!

Add it to your queue -----> http://movies.netflix.com/movie/Terriers/70177059

because the studios don't like Netflix. They like Comcast and On Demand, where you have to pay 4.99 to watch a new release once through your cable box.

I watched 'The Way' the other day and really liked it. Featuring Martin Sheen as a father who learns his free-spirited son has died while hiking an ancient spiritual pilgrimage to Spain (Camino de Santiago). Emilio Estevez is also involved in this collaboration.

Cool man, I'll have to check this one out. It's been on my Instant Queue but have not brought myself to watch it, reading the synopsis made it sound a bit heavy handed.

It's heavy handed. I made it through about 15-20 minutes before I turned it off. If you can make it past the poor acting and HORRIBLE dialogue, maybe it gets better once he starts his journey, but be warned
