This. Artest had a terrible offensive game but got lucky at the end. Lakers got really lucky although Suns got a bit lucky too with Richardson's shot.

In the post game, Artest showed no remorse in jacking up that 3 with a minute left and thought it was the right thing to do. Something along the lines of "I hear all the voices saying don't shoot but I'm here to play ball."

He gives great hustle like with the GW, but, eh, it's tough to fix the stupidity. 2-9 shooting, with the GW and a breakaway layup, 0-3 from 3.

Artest is an idiot. I was rejoicing when he took that horrible 3-point shot and the Lakers fans boo'ed and Phil Jackson gave him the look of death.

Lakers have to deal with him for another three years

I think the hero of the game is not Ron Artest, but Phil Jackson for leaving him in the game after that ridiculous play.

After seeing that game tonight, I have 1 thing to say: The Suns can (and will) win this.

The Suns battled back from a 17 pt deficit in the 1st half and an 18 pt deficit in the 2nd half in LA. They almost stole that game away from the best team in the NBA.

I predict a Suns 10+ pt win on Saturday. They haven't had a good game this entire series, and I can see them shooting 52% FGs, 40+% 3 pts and lead on rebounds. They are going to come into LA for game 7 ready to whip some ass. The Suns still have the momentum in this series

PS: Vujacic is a piece of shit who should keep his bench-warming mouth shut.

Reality is so bright, you have to wear shades? 😉

Nah lakers are going to win game 6.

not if the refs call it in arizona like they have thus far in the series (free throw numbers courtesy of lakersground):

Game 1: Suns - 32, Lakers - 22
Game 2: Suns - 26, Lakers - 34
Game 3: Suns - 42, Lakers - 20
Game 4: Suns - 32, Lakers - 13

Game 5: Suns - 29, Lakers - 23

Totals: Suns - 161, Lakers - 112

That's what happens when you are the more physical team - you get more fouls. No big deal.

more times than not id agree and say the lakers need to attack more but the fact they've outscored the suns in every single game in the paint makes me scratch my head at such the huge discrepancy (pau takes a shove in the back on that missed dunk towards the end and nothting??). kobe gets 1 trip to the line in 27 attempts?! one of the best ever to slash and drive and draw their opponents in only gets one trip?!

Kobe's been taking a lot of jumpers, though. Good deal because he makes a good %, and less wear-n-tear on the body. One of the reasons he can perform at a high level at the end of the game

Pau can be difficult to officiate, because sometimes he starts his "I just got fouled" yell before there's actually any contact. That makes his credibility suspect.

Also, Bynum takes stupid fouls, Farmar takes stupid fouls, Fisher takes stupid fouls - although he does get away with some of them, in this respect he reminds me of a mini Charles Oakley. It's all part of intimidating a smaller team, I'm sure Phil Jackson doesn't mind at all.

Big Baby, 'Sheed back for Celtics in Game 6

(AP) – 27 minutes ago

BOSTON — Boston's Glen "Big Baby" Davis is back in uniform for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Magic.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers says Davis can play Friday night against Orlando. The Boston forward blacked out on the court with a concussion in Game 5 on Wednesday by an inadvertent elbow from Magic center Dwight Howard.

Rivers says Rasheed Wallace is also cleared to play. He tweaked his back in the last game, when the Magic won to avoid elimination for the second time in a row.

Boston Guard Marquis Daniels, who also had a concussion, will not play.

The Celtics lead the series 3-2. A loss would force a Game 7 in Orlando and give the Magic a chance to be the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-0 deficit in a best-of-seven series.

Orlando is done. Down 21pts going into the 4th.

yeah. What happen to the fight they were putting up at the end of the 2nd quarter?

Anyhow I'm thinking with the finals starting thursday I think Phil will work the Lakers to try and close out the suns so they can get some rest. then he can go to work on finding something to get Perkins to draw a technical to get him suspended for a game.

the 7 technical rule is utterly BS

Go magics!!! Now that's how you play the game, beat'em up old school style, its pay back time baby. Dont have balls? just move aside. They fell one by one like weak ass mada fakas. After what happened last year I have to empathy/sympathy for the Celtics. Cry b1tches cry, cry like babies you ancient fossils.

Yeah okay, sit down.
