Grats to the Heat and all, but pull your head out of your colon for a few. I don't think the Mavs blamed anybody. In many, if not all, of the interviews on ESPN and SI the players blamed themselves and their performance.

Excitement for winning should not be an excuse for you to make stuff up and act like a douche.
 
Congrats to Miami Heat!

I am a Kings fan so it is good to see J-Will get his ring as well as Alonzo (this man deserves one). I am also happy for Shaq (haha he won the championship before Kobe).

Dallas got robbed in game 5 (just like game 6 in 2002 for the Kings) but they are young, so they will be competitive for many years to come.
 
Dwayne Wade shot 24 to 28 MORE free throws in the NBA finals series than he did in any of the other series during the playoffs.......
 
I remember clearly after the first 2 Dallas wins people were saying they were going to sweep....how wrong they were. What an awesome performance by Wade and Co....damn...this is amazing....

It's only over this year people...next year the Heat will be back and hopefully even better!!!!!!

I think even the announcers made a comment about that in game 4 (I think) about how Wade went to the foul line more than anybody else in recent time and was only one of a handful of people to ever go 20 times in a game, or something of that nature. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I thought it was interesting that even the announcers seemed to have thought it a bit odd.

Dallas got robbed? People seem to forget that Howard missed two FTs in a row in the last minute. How much did they lose by again in that game?

Yeah they pulled up a statistic about free throws made in a game, and I think jordan was the only other one who made over 20 free throws in a finals game.

I just think its rediculous that these people call him this "budding young star" like he just went crazy in this NBA finals series. Dwayne Wade is good, VERY GOOD, and will likely be for his entire career, but he didnt do anything different than what he did in the first couple playoff series.

Look at the statistics...

His Field goal percentage didnt improve, it was actually WORSE than 3 of the 4 playoff series (including the finals)

He made 59-76 of his free throws from the line against the Mavs, and he had the WORST free throw percentage out of all of the playoff series he played in

He made 3-11 3 pt shots in the series...Again, not a very good number
 
don't be a hater man....Wade is arguably one of the top 3 players in the NBA....don't try to tarnish what he has accomplished in only his 3rd year...

cmon now....if you want to talk about overrated...its Dirk who you should be talking about...Terry was the MVP of the Mavs..even though tonight he killed the Mavs...he went 7 for 25 and 2 for 11 from beyond the arc...

I just got really pissed off when they compared him to jordan. He isn't even close to what jordan is. He cant make a shot if someones guarding him, but hes fast and can find the open man and the open shot.

agreed...the Jordan comparisons are premature....

but he has had some Jordan "type" games....he's no Jordan though...there probably won't be another Jordan....

True, even Avery compared Wade to Jordan...the desire to get to the basket.
 
Good game. Wade almost cost his team HUGE with missing two clutch FT's. The three at the end was less than an inch from going in, to tie it up. But it didnt, so its moot. Thats the only "negative" think to think about for Wade. Thats two huge FT's.

Im glad for Payton, Zo, and Walker. Zo and Walker both had huge games.

I thought Haslem had the biggest impact...then Zo, Posey, Walker (he pulled out the shimmy-on the ground!!!).
 
In the end, mavs just couldn't stop wade (w/o fouling him atleast).

the heat in crunch time had 1 play. give it to wade at the triple threat position. he either pulls up for the jumper, drives to the basket, or if you double him he passes it to a guy in the corner. Mavs really had no one that was able to stay in front of wade. Looks like dallas will need to find a defensive stopper like Prince from detroit, bowen etc. Or maybe somehow get Ben Wallace. I'm sure Cuban is willing to fork out a good amount of dough for Big Ben.

Wade is an old school player wrapped up in new school threads. He's gonna go to the hoop and get banged. That's why he shoots the fouls shots. He earns them! Everyone else is only trying finesse. He's got it all! Stackhouse comes to mind, in this series, as someone similiar. He's even got a better 3 point shot. But no one's got Wade's will, constant creativity and adaptability. You really don't know what he'll do the next time down the court, unless you just give him the lane.
