He did have pretty good workouts. His stock was rising with every workout it seemed. He really needs to work on his shooting though.

A chump like Turiaf would be a better serve as a temporary center.
The only way they can redeem from this pick is to get something like a Sean Banks or Salim Stoudamire in the second round.
 
I really don't understand NBA teams...

Hello, lets take a 7' tall frenchman who can't even score 10 points in Europe over a guy like Salim Stoudamire who can put up 40 points. Screw size....a 7' tall guy should be getting 20 and 10 a night easily in a European league.

Stoudamire is gonna be a star....how the hell does the best shooter in the draft go into the 2nd round when no one in the NBA can shoot?

God damnit, why did the Knicks have to pick a 5'8" gaurd with the 21st pick. Would have rather picked Taft whos potential seems to be far greater than this dudes.

No John Gilchrist, Jawad Williams, Randolph Morris, Kelenna Azubuike, Shavlik Randolph, Chuck Hayes, or Sean Banks.

Because Stoudamire is too short to get shots off against NBA shooting guards.😛
 
as a pistons fan, i can offically say that draft day really has no meaning for me. i was hoping for Garcia to slip, and it was sooo dang close too!! but eh..

if we can find another Tayshawn in the field filled with White, Cleves, whoever the hell our last year draft choice was, etc. i'll take it as a free gift. if there's one thing JoeD can't do.. hope our Ben Wallace, the second coming in Jason Maxiell will work out.
