Absolutly. Frankly I think its long over-due. We have allowed OCZ to remain in the lead for far too long.

Sentential,

I'm glad I ran into you.

About a 5 weeks ago I bought the Mushkin HP PC3200 2x1gb in my sig below.

It will not run at 2-3-2-6 no matter what. When my processor was clocked at 2.6 and my FSB was at 200, I still have had to run it at: 2.5-3-2-7, otherwise programs crash.

I happen to live in northern Denver about 30 miles north of your main office and I would like to exchange these for memory that will run at the timings I paid ($300.00) for.

I'm in school so I can't be without my system for an extended period, would it be possible for me to drive these down to your headquarters for an exchange?

Thanks.

Is there a way to see what chips I have underneath my heatspreader without actually removing it?

I bought a 1GB 2x512MB HP 3200 kit, originally advertised by the store as UTT chips. But they weren't compatible with any Asus board so I had to RMA them. I got them back and they work, but they overclock like ass. I was really hoping for some good overclocking RAM. :(

PM sent. I dont think they will ahve a problem with you doing that. I sent you an email addy of those who would be able to help you specifically. All you need is a reciept of the purchase (either physical or invoice like on newegg) .

Call ahead of time before you go tho. Im sure they can work something out for you

Okay, now talk to Tom D. and get him to cut us some nice rebates and incentives!

Tell him it's good business, since I'm trying to expand thier market share and increase thier visibility. I'm sure he'll bite! :)

Even if joking around OCZ John is right! OCZ is the best. Much better than Mushkin. OCZ's honesty about their IC's makes them top notch. Kudos to you OCZ!!!!!

BTW, sent some memory back on an rma a while back, and it took 3 times back and forth before I got something that worked. Heres the scenario:
It would pass memtest for hours on end, but would not boot into windows on at least 3 different motherboards, all on different chipsets ! The ESC would lockup, the ULI would give some strange bessage, and the A7N8X would re-boot dduring boot.

Whatever was the cause of that ? You should ask your tech guy Kile I think it was ??? Wierdest memory problem I have ever seen.

BTW I was very upset when I sent it back, since I had the techs name on it, and he knew it was bad, and the strange situation, but they never routed it to him, even though the package said ATTN KILE (or whatever his name was, can't remember). The only way I got it resolved, was to hold on to the bad memory, and have them ship me another stick. They really need to work on their processes. Then it took forever to get my credit card refunded, even after they recieved the bad memory back. The only plus, was that tech who was nice on the phone.

I am very sorry to hear of your experience in that sense. I will relay this to people who can take action on your behalf.

Hehe. Thanks, but let's keep this out of the Mushkin thread. I don't want bad blood between me and Sentential here. We're both here to help our customers. :)
