Mushkin and OCZ are both good. I own many sticks of both, actually way more Mushkin than OCZ. Crucial has also served me well. Thats my top 3. I hate to stray from what works, like PQI and Patriot that I have heard about recently.....

From what i know, Mushkin seems to be an excellent underdog performer.

I have to admit to being rather frustrated that the RAM i bought used different chips than the older 2x1 GB 2-3-2 stuff that was out merely a few wks. before my purchase.
I bought it knowing it would OC well...except no one knew that Mushkin was binning all the good stuff that Frackal & myself would have gotten to be the XP3700 2x1 GB kits :frown:

While mine does run at 200, it can't even get past 206 MHz @ 2-3-2.
Obviously, this is within spec, i just wish companies wouldn't just switch the types without a little warning...🙁

Unfortunaly there isnt a whole lot we can do when the manufacturers of the RAM themselves stop production without warning.

I like to complain, that's all.

Really though, the RAM is awesome 🙂 (just less awesome than i'd hoped 😛)

I feel bad for you too... if I had known about it I would have warned you. I've been warning other people looking at that memory.

Don't worry Sentential, I'm not telling them it's bad, just warning them that it doesn't OC as well as it used to 😉

Ok I have a question for Mushkin🙂 I have 4 512Mb sticks of the PC3500 mushkin ram (part # 991087 see my sig). I want to run this ram at the 1T setting but am afraid to do so because, last time I messed with my timings, I ended up having to reset my CMOS, which is a real pain. Are there latency settings I can run with my ram that will allow me to run at the 1T setting? Also, can I run at tighter timings than 2-3-3-6 at all with this ram? See my signature for my system details... Also, I am running my ram at 2.75v. Thanks for any help!

You may be able to tighten the timings, but it's a chance you'll have to take. I can guarantee though that you can't run at 1T command rate with all your memory banks loaded.

Sentential,
Can you please reply to my thread?

IIRC, Minotar, you cannot run 4 dimms at 1T on an A64 unless they are single sided dimms (very rare).
It has nothing to do with Mushkin; it's simply how A64s work.
