Oh yeah, love that music. :D

EDIT: Not loving prequel scenes. :p

Of all the horrible crap MS showed, I think Kinect Star Wars was the worst.

- Prequels
- Huge amounts of lag (so much that it's likely they just put a guy up there flailing around in front of a pre-recorded video)
- "LIGHTSABER ON!"
- Not even trying to animate blocking the blaster shots (Jedi Knight II had this in 2002)

Overall this conference should make for good YouTube mockery but not much else. I didn't think they could actually make it worse than last year's but they certainly did.

Why would they call the next game in the second Halo trilogy Halo 4? Wouldn't that imply that it's part of the first trilogy?

And, correct me if I'm wrong (only played Halo 3 campaign once through), but I thought all this halo business was taken care of in the first trilogy. I'm assuming that since this is a new trilogy, it will cover a different story. So why is it even called Halo? (Brand recognition, I know...but still)

the halo universe is actually very large and very interesting, there is a ton of stuff that happens that is not even close to covered in the other games. which is what im assuming they are going to do with some of these games.

well it looks like it is going to be continuing right where 3 left off.

if you beat 3 on legendary and watch the secret clip after the credits roll, it shows that master chief is still alive and well floating around in space.

the trailer for part 4 i believe the spartan was master chief (from the girls voice calling it, cortana?) and that it seems like he was roaming around in space and was found, and that is where it starts up.

i'm nearly positive they are floating towards Onyx. Onyx is very interesting in the haloverse

Pretty underwhelmed. MW3, Gears 3 and ME3 look great, as expected. The UFC stuff looks pretty awesome as I'm a big fan. The bing stuff is interesting. But it was just way, way too kinect heavy for me. The kinect stuff in ME3 and GR looked absolutely throwaway, and will probably work better with a controller. Most of the games look great for kids or families with kids. Its just not for me, and I was hoping for at least one reveal. More halo just doesnt do it for me.

Still going to be the best year ever for games, 360 included, but a pretty underwhelming conference.

MS kind of screwed up the press conference. I'm going to go into more detail about why in an article that I'm writing later tonight but for some reason they decided not to include announcements for a cloud storage service among other things.

I just came to post this, why did they not announce that?

My guess is because they spent all their time catering to the casual babies who only care about Disney Kinect crap.

I don't know why MS has gone so far off the deep end with regards to hyping up casual games at E3. Some years ago, the 360 was considered the most "mature" or kid-unfriendly console, so maybe they're trying to shed that image. But they've gone too far the other way. Besides, who at E3 is going to care at all about Disney or Sesame Street? There will be a few dads who might be interested and that's it. Why spend so much more time on that than things that are actually interesting to 99% of the people who attend and watch E3?

I just don't get it. The majority of people in the target audience for the Kinect stuff are not at E3, and probably don't even know it exists. Why not announce Cloud storage, beacons, etc. during the press conference?

well to be honest, around here, when these E3 conferences happen, they usually have like a 3 minute segment in the nightly news here on fox or cbs or abc. so if you have everyone who is watching the news hear about these new disney or sesame street things, it could be a goldmine for ms. i remmber last year they had a little thing about the move and kinect on the news.
