Yes, I have to agree about the spawning. There were countless times I spawned with people around me. One time there were 4 enemies right in front of me. Bad luck, Bad connection, who knows.
 
Also, it doesn't help that people are constantly spawning behind you (sometimes after you've just killed them and getting a "payback kill").

They never fixed this in MW2, and they've had 2 years to fix it in MW3, so I'm sure they won't patch it. So the problem will only get worse as people learn the maps and learn how to quickly get back to where they were just killed so they can get payback.

The solution to that problem is for one team to get spawn trapped. That's even worse.

It doesn't seem to me like the spawns have changed at all since cod 1. Sucks getting shot in the back, but that's TDM for you. Play an objective mode where the spawns are more regulated if its such an issue.

They could at least make it so that you don't spawn right behind the guy who just killed you. That shouldn't be too difficult.

I honestly don't recall that happening very often in any cod. 99% of the time it spawns me near my team and/or somewhat out of the way of the battle. It's enraging and memorable when you do get a bad spawn, but it's still pretty rare.

It's still possible to manipulate the spawn system and sort of trap them in front in TDM if you know how. You just can't push up too far ahead of the front before they start spawning behind your team.

Heh, my buddy spawned and was instantly killed. Whats worse is you could watch it happen in the kill cam. He spawned, and was killed within mere seconds. That is truly enraging.
 
Okay, maybe it might not be my connection. I've been reading lots of complaints about "lag compensation". Never heard of it before but other people seem to be experiencing similar issues to me.

I seemed to get shot right as I turned a corner, and A LOT of the time that I was killed it looked like I was killed by a single shot. When watching the killcam it was always a hail of bullets which happened occasionally on other games, but regularly on MW3.

Not sure what the deal is, but google the term for MW3 and you get people saying things like:

People with three bars or less on their connection are at a serious disadvantage in this game. It is worse than it was in MW2.
 
I played less than 10 games total so I am still getting used to it but does anyone think the UI actually took a step backwards from Black Ops? I mean it just doesn't look that great to me - the menus, the look and feel etc. I am only talking about the out of game stuff like choosing your weapons, perks, etc. It looks very 2005 ...
 
is there an ATOT clan? is a clan just like a guild? what benefits are there to being in a clan?

Can't make any clans yet as the elite site is having issues.

I'm not sure what all the benefits of a clan are, but I know the clans can earn XP and be ranked up in some fashion.
 
If people saw the alternative to lag compensation they would be screaming from the top of the hills for them to put it back in.

Online gaming has come a long way towards preventing the ill effects of lag. Its still just masking the problem, and the problem is the internet. The stupid killcam puts the lag on full display, and the incongruity between the killcam and your game makes it seem like something is broken.

The fact that you only notice it when something goes horribly wrong means that it's working. Take the lag compensation away and the game will play like sh*t.

I had 4 bars in every game I played and I still had problems with this. One game I was the freaking host and I was still getting killed in one shot. It's atrocious.
 
Haha, well I need to see if you can be in more than one clan. Right now if it had to be one my heart lies with the AVS group that I regularly play with. 😛

I just figured we would cross pollenate and create one AT/AVS clan. After all, we often times mix and match anyway.
 
This would make sense since a lot of us play together. Except I was ignored yesterday 🙁

Well, the one thing that's disappointing is that most game modes have a max team size of 6. Our party could very easily exceed 6. I really wish the envelope was pushed in this regard. It would be really nice to have some 12 on 12 battles, but then the maps would have to be a bit larger.

Yeah we had to all appear offline because everyone wanted to get in. Ground war sucks and no one wants to play that.

Haha I literally was getting so many messages I couldn't sort through it all and play still. People were inviting, asking if we were full, telling me i suck, etc etc

Secondly, what we dont want is to play against a bunch of AVS/AT'ers who are good and will fuck us up while we are still learning the maps 😛

I am not sure if you were on later but it ended up just being 2 of us and it would have been no problem bringing you in. I'll keep you in mind 🙂
