yeah man its confusing as hell, i only trust the link i posted cause it has been the most accurate source.

I love the AK-47 but unfortunately the TAR beats it in every way, except for iron sights

imo Tar has best iron sights of all the AR. I'm guessing this is because I can't stand to use any of it's other sights.
 
SCAR and FAMAS have the best irons IMHO. TAR is OK but they are too close to the body of the rifle and sort of obstructs a bit of your vision.
 
grrrr i remember why i grew tired of this game before. Spawn points pretty much. Then again i almost solely play FFA. But its getting old to kill a guy and not even 2 seconds later be killed by that same guy. Or just spawn and have someone be right on top of you. You'd think they could do something about that. Disable that spawn point for whoever you just killed or if theres a player within X yards.

And i really wish they would allow you to set game modes where you could do no explosives or something. Seems recently i've been in games with tons of snipers and always one or two people with rpgs. Then of course all the grenade launchers.

But o well time ot try new game modes i guess
 
I've not heard of any but I don't have a PS3. You think it would be all over the net if there was though. The Xbox version runs great and typically if there are going to be issues on one of the systems it'll be the 360.

the couple people i know who have gotten it on the PS3 had no problems. You can actually even share it with up to 5 people (well 4 others besides yourself i belive) so its only like 3 bucks a person that way.

You just defined what's great about this game. What one person loves to use and finds effective, another person can hate/not use at all. I literally use 5 of my 7 classes regularly, with my noob tube and stinger classes being my least used. I'm one of those people who doesn't like to tube unless most of the other team is tubing, because I find it annoying. Same with the Heartbeat Sensor--I think it's a cheap move. It doesn't take much skill to find people. The only time I use the HBS is if I'm trying to complete FMJ challenges on rifles, so I can shoot through some buildings.

But, like I said before, to each their own.
 
I really don't like the M21, even with stopping power it's still a two shot kill in the torso.

The WA2000 is the best mix between recoil and damage, but the Intervention is actually my sniper rifle of choice. I use stopping power instead of cold blooded and anything above the waste is a one-shot kill.

+1. What works for one guy doesn't work for another.

Personally I find that Bling is a waste of a perk with most weapons. Most of the iron sights are pretty good, I feel like I'm being cheated with Bling though. As soon as I run out of ammo I pick up a weapon with only one attachment and I have no other bonuses.

+2...I see people pwning with the damn ump all the time, but I can't use that gun for shit!! Seriously, I prefer the mp5k over this thing any day. I can mow down a group of 3 in a room easily with the mp5.

I've been working on it recently to get a good feel for it, but it's just not working out. I'm not horrible with it, but I would much rather use the mp5 or m4 than the ump. I use it at the beginning of my prestige, and then I'm done with it pretty much.
 
I used to hate the UMP, now it's one of my favorite guns in the game. The single biggest reason is that it does not need Stopping Power at all.

40-35 dmg and very short range. With stopping Power it's a 2 hit kill up close but the range is about as far as a shotgun before it drops down. I run it with Hardline or Cold Blooded and a suppressor and it works great, 3 hit kill at any distance. It does recoil alot though.

I too used to swear by the MP5K, now it's UMP all the way!

Dude, you need to check out the RPD. With your 'cautious, get the drop one people' play style, I could see you destroying people with this. It's DEADLY at long/medium range. Pair it with a shotty for clearing buildings and you can be VERY hard to kill. Snipers don't stand a chance. Burst fire two shot someone across the map. If you miss, keep shooting. You've got about 200 bullets per clip 😛

The only downside is you can't run and gun, but you don't want to with this gun. It's not very good close range. Keep people at bay, move from cover to cover and pull out the shotty when in close.
 
I'm not as cautious as I used to be (as shown by the fact that my KDR is slowly dropping). I use the RPD all the time, it and the AUG are the only LMGs I like. But I use it very different than the UMP.
 
Know what's a bad idea? Chasing after a guy when you only have two rounds with a SCAR-H left (and a Stinger as a backup). Played last night with a buddy and on Skidrow I was using the SCAR-H w/FMJ and SoH and killed two guys in a group of three who were attacking the stairwell. The other guy dashed for cover, I looked down and saw I had no extra ammo and two shots in the rifle itself...so what do I do? Do I go find another weapon or wait for backup? Nope, I chase after him and hit him with one of said two shots and he kills me.

It's all about going down in a blaze of glory.

Gotta say, after months of playing this game I think I can safely say that the SCAR is my favorite weapon in the game. Other weapons are more useful in specific situations but overall there's nothing it doesn't do well and it's got some of the best iron sights in the game. I got my 2500 kill prestige challenge done with it early last prestige, I'll be hard pressed to get any of my other weapon 2500 kill challenges done this prestige...we'll see.

So here's to you SCAR!
 
I like the SCAR, but prefer the ACR. I finished the 2500 kill prestige challenge for the ACR on my 2nd prestige. I'm about to start my 5th prestige, and no other guns are within 600 kills of the 2500 kill challenge. I think I have about 4 rifles sitting at 1500-1800 kills, though.

Also, I started using the UMP this prestige, and it's not too shabby. It takes a while to get used to, but it's pretty nice. My class is pretty close to Kabob's, silenced UMP w/Cold Blooded or Hardline. Backup is a Magnum w/Tac Knife. Nasty, nasty class.
