It isn't a hack, it's just called quickscoping. I've done it a bit, but I'm not good enough at it to go positive while doing attempting it.

From what I've gathered, anytime you scope in your crosshairs immediately go to the center of your screen (like they haven't swayed yet). So, you can scope in, hold L3 for steady aim, and fire off a round in like .2 seconds with almost perfect accuracy, you just have to make sure you know where your crosshairs will be when you scope in (aka dead center of screen). Sometimes I forget to hold my breathe for steady aim and it still works.

like i said you need to be sure they are cheating. there is a hack that allows them to pretty much auto aim at you and kill you with one trigger pull. i'm not saying what it is but i'm sure intelligent people can put it together fairly quickly.

Reminds me of my old college roommate who played CS so much he used a sharpie to mark his screen where his AWP crosshair would be.

No hack for QS on consoles, just people who practice. A lot.

thats how i learned how to quick scope. I used to be able to awp quick scope pretty damn good, but so could everyone else in matches

surprisingly, that dot helped in a lot of FPS games as well. Definitely helped in BF2, and COD4 when I played that

<-- Game winning kill with a flashbang!

I dunno what happened, suddenly I've started instinctively throwing my special grenades when I see someone go into last stand, I think I got four kills with them last night in the games I played (one was a double kill! I didn't even see the other guy!)

I wonder how much damage the flash does, I didn't actually hit anyone with said grenades.

It does a little bit of damage as I get lots of assists this way. Typically I'll toss a flash bang and you can hear the "tick" registering damage on someone and then right after I do it a teammate tags them and I will usually get a +20 and register as an assist.

People in last stand have 1hp, which I believe is the damage done by a flash/stun grenade.

What kind of gun do you typically use, and what perks are you equiping?

My advice is to roll with the following4:

M4 + red dot(easiest gun to use and pretty accurate)
SPAS for secondary and cqb

Perks:

Sleight of hand (quick reload and pro gives you quick ADS(aim down site...or quicker aiming)
Stopping Power ( for increased damage as the m4 is a bit weak, but it does have a decent firing rate)
Commando (for that quick stabbing)

Try it out, and give us an update.

I use the SCAR (with Thumper) and TAR-21 (with a Magnum) mostly.

With the SCAR I use the thermal scope unless I'm going to be in close quarters, then I will switch to red dot site. Using SCAR with thermal scope I got my first 10 kill streak on Wasteland Map the other night!

TAR is always with red dot.

My perks:

Perk 1 - usually Scavenger Pro on both, though I will sometimes go with Marathon Pro on the TAR. I go through so much ammo, I need to be able to resupply 🙂

Perk 2 - Stopping Power with SCAR; Hardline Pro with TAR (I like Hardline)

Perk 3 - Steady Aim on both, I believe.

One of the following (based on map/mood):

UMP (silenced) / P90 (silenced) / M4 (silenced) / TAR (holographic sight)

With the following perks:

- Sleight of Hand
- Cold Blooded
- Steady Aim

My suggestions:

If you're using a thermal scope with the SCAR you're probably engaging enemies from too far away. I think in all my games I have maybe 1 or 2 kills total using a thermal on an assault rifle. You're essentially taking a close-mid range weapon and killing it's versatility in those ranges. Ditch the thermal and get a red dot or use the iron sights.

Also, both the Thumper and .44 Magnum are pretty difficult to use. If you did get good with the SCAR iron sights (some of the best in the game) you could swap to an M203 which is much easier to aim. As for a different secondary I'd either go with anti-air (Stinger) or close quarters (SPAS-12 or AA-12).

I understand running out of ammo and the SCAR doesn't come with much to start with. Scav. Pro is a great perk but if you're not surviving long enough to need more ammo then I'd swap it out for Sleight of Hand.

Steady Aim is a pretty good Perk #3 if you do alot of hip firing, if you usually are aiming down your sights (which you would be if you're using the thermal) you'd probably be better served with Ninja.

Just my $0.02

Going to have to say that it's quite strange to see someone use and be successful with thermals on an AR and red dot on the Tar. I think red dot limits your overal view witht he Tar.

Like Kabob says, if you're using these scopes then steady aim is useless. Go with Ninja or maybe even commando. Hardline is fine with these guns as they're quite powerful. Scavenger is good for the Scar, and if you're run n gunning Marathon is good for the Tar. However, when I run n gun with the Tar, I actually roll with silencer, slight of hand + LW pro with the quick aim while running + Ninja or steady aim (I'll use steady aim if my secondary are dual m93. If not, then I go with Ninja).

If he's having issues killing people, stopping power will help him more than hardline will.

As for red dots on the TAR for some reason I just don't like the iron sights much. I mean, they should work well but I never seem to do well with 'em. Red dot is pretty meh, EOTech is the way to go for me.

I hear that, but the Scar is already pretty powerfull and hardline would get him to the killstreaks quicker. His main concern is getting to the streaks.

Anyhow, I actually prefer the red dot over the eotech for most guns as the dot is a lot smaller. I go with eotech for the fal and m16 b/c of the increased damage for fal and accuracy for the m16.

For the Tar , I can't use anything but the iron sights. I'll equip sights just to get through the challenges for all weapons though. Scar also has great iron sights, but red dot is nice for it as well.

I haven't used the m4 for a while and decided to go back to it last night...wow, still an awesome gun. I was so close to getting a nuke with it. The gun is so accurate and easy to use.

We must be blood brothers or something. I too hadn't used the M4 in quite a while (since probably lvl 30 or so and I'm at 64 now) and I switched back last night. That was the game I got a double kill with a flashbang.

If you think using a thermal with steady aim pro is useless, I challenge you to load it up on the ACR. Don't forget you can hold your breath on an AR if you're using the thermal ...

It can be useful at times I'm sure but for me the ACOG messes me up enough as it is, I want an unmagnified optic for an assault rifle. Zooming in only hinders the close-medum range engagements.

Meh, I just don't zoom in in close range engagements, or I carry a shotgun.

Why bother when a sniper rifle can kill with one shot?

I'll take your word for it though and try it out tonight. I'm always up for something new.

I agree. I hate having to use acog on even a sniper rifle to get to thermal. The aiming is floating all over the place and you can't hold your breath.

Except for the asskicking I took Sat in a very unfair match (thanks to shitty Spawn points and assholes on the other team).

Spawn points have gotten awful for me lately. Sat's game my team kept spawning at the same point over and over again. And on top of that the asshole other team decided to camp out at this site. Score ended at 7500 - 1200 just brutal!

At one time the other team had 2 harriers a pave-low, a chopper gunner and a damn AC130 in the air due to their camping on our spawn point.

It was awful I don't know what made me more made .. the spawn point or the fact that the other team camped on it.

That's when you quit my friend. If your team is so awful that you're not enjoying yourself (it's happened to me a few times), find a new team.

Similar situation happened to me on BC2 last night, my team was terrible and I was playing against a few friends. We were utterly destroyed (like, my team would drive a tank into their base and jump out giving them control of the tank...WHAT THA!?

Oh I did when the match was done. I do blame this game's issue on the shitty spawning but it was really douchey to have the other team just standing there waiting for us to respawn.

It all the time I have been playing I have only had 1 issue with folks camping on a spawn point but that only lasted a few seconds as the game started to respawn us elsewhere.
