i don't think they should, that wouldn't be fair for those who got it early. they shouldn't be punished for finding the game early.

and it is easy to level up in this if you are decent at it. my lil brother got his account up to level 30 in less than a day of playtime.

How is having that reset being "punished" at all? It doesn't matter if you got it early legally or not, the official release was midnight this morning and everyone deserves to start on the same level.

I don't like the fact that they're putting the likes of 12,000 people who go it early in front of the 2,000,000 who are getting it today.

It's not "unfair" if you got it early. Early = before you are supposed to, it doesn't matter if you bought it 100% legally or not, you still got it/unlocked it BEFORE release day. The time you spent unlocking you should have gone into knowing would be wiped away, which IW has stated over and over was going to happen. And then suddenly they change their mind.

1 week, yup. That's a 1 week head start of getting extra guns, perks, etc. I can join in today and be tactical nuke'd in my very first game by someone who's had the game for a week.

Yes, I enjoy doing well in games. It's not the have-all end-all but it's fun to see a good kill/win ratio.

And if I had to guess I'd say that 90% of people who took the time to get the game early are the hardcore fans who knew that IW was planning to wipe the servers.

True, what about the people who joined in at midnight though? 500,000 people at level 1 and 10,000 at level 40+...it doesn't matter how you slice it, it's still an unfair advantage.

Not that I disagree with you, but aren't the IW servers going to place you in games with players of similar rank? Therefore, you won't be playing with level 40+ players. Or maybe I misinterpreted your point.

i find it 'unfair' in the same sense that it is 'unfair' to those who will be playing the game tonight for the first time against people who played it a midnight of yesterday who are already level 30+.

and all those links point back to their twitter which i really doubt a lot of people follow. hell i am on the net all day and hardcore into gaming news, and i only heard about this reset as more of a word of mouth and nothing ever confirmed by IW itself.

Ehh, it doesn't seem like such a big deal to me. There's is always going to be someone with a higher rank than you and perks that you don't have. I see it as more of a challenge for me which makes the game more enjoyable. If there's a person with a perk that gives him the upper hand and I can get the better of him for a couple kills, that makes me feel like a really accomplished something. Like when jerks with juggernaut and a grenade launcher come at you when you're sniping and you take the douche down with a pistol, then tea bag his face and dance on his corpse, hahaha.

I've played up past the "offensive" mission so far, and I'm enjoying it. It feels just like MW1 as far as pacing and story, just more explosions thrown in for good measure. Gonna go grab some lunch and get back at it.

More than likely it's people who got it a week to a week and a half early and have done nothing but play MP.

Just picked up my copy at gamestop. They had a lot of extra copies and best buy had a TON of copies at the front of the store. They must have sent out a ton of copies to stores.
